Dao Mangkon

Tong Bun is that unfortunate Capricorn boy. Because his mother, Jomjit, believes in a fortune teller's prophecy that he was born under a "destructive star" destined to bring ruin to the family—coupled with the fact that his parents divorced, his mother's second-hand car business went bust, and his father died shortly after the split—she believes the prophecy even more.
Jomjit treats Tong Bun as if he isn't her child, in stark contrast to Kathathong, the eldest son whom she has always adored and praised. Kathathong receives numerous privileges in the house; he doesn't have to do chores, and Tong Bun is constantly expected to serve him, even when he's eating or sleeping.
At the mother’s car wash business, Kathathong isn't required to help out. On weekends when the shop is packed with cars, Tong Bun is the one who must go out and assist the staff, while Kathathong can sit comfortably in his bedroom listening to music.
