Prachan is a kind and generous 16-year-old girl whose parents have separated. Her father remarried Phayao and had two more children, Nammon and Namtan. Due to her father’s womanizing ways, he constantly fights with her stepmother, leading Prachan to move in with her aunt, Ratchanee. Ratchanee is a woman who understands the world and reality deeply, acting as a second mother to Prachan.
After passing her entrance exams for the Faculty of Social Sciences at Thammasat University, Prachan returns home to find Priao, her father’s beautiful but treacherous mistress. Priao is a cafe singer who uses her looks to get money and constantly taunts Phayao. While working at a market, Prachan meets Khaekhai, an elderly expert in Thai herbal medicine. Khaekhai has a grandson named Saengsun, a serious and dedicated young police officer who is also a talented musician.
Prachan decides to work for Naowarat, a businesswoman with various ventures, including a training center for caregivers and patients. It is at this house that Prachan meets Nopphadonai (or Por), Naowarat's son. Naowarat later takes Prachan and Duangkamon to care for Khun Rabiab, the president of several charitable foundations. Rabiab suffers from muscle weakness and is surrounded by greedy family members. Her goal is to find a worthy successor for her philanthropic work.
Rabiab eventually appoints Saengsun as a foundation board member and tasks Ratchanee with handling grievances at a hotline center, with Prachan volunteering to oversee those cases. Rabiab grows so fond of Prachan that she adopts her, making her a legal heir. This sparks intense jealousy from Rabiab’s relatives, including Luephong and Duangkamon. They plot to kill Rabiab and frame Prachan, who is responsible for administering Rabiab's medication.
Meanwhile, Saengsun uses his major music performance as a distraction to raid an illegal gambling den run by Priao and Sukhum (Prachan's father). Priao claims she opened the den because the bank was threatening to seize the house. During the concert, where Rabiab is presiding, she suddenly goes into shock and stops breathing—a calculated move by her greedy relatives to frame Prachan as the sole suspect.
Will Saengsun be able to help Prachan? What will become of Priao and Sukhum’s gambling den? Follow the conclusion in Chan Rue Cha Chai.

Gai Na tells the story of Duriyang, also known as Dolly, a Thai–American girl who grows up in conditions not much different from a slum. She lives with her American father, Don, and her grandmother, Yai Maen. Don tells Dolly that her mother, Manee, left the family when Dolly was very young because she could not endure hardship.
Don makes a living selling Pad Thai noodles and gradually becomes very famous—not only because he is a foreigner cooking Thai food, but also because of his excellent skills. As the business grows, Dolly has to quit college to help him and switches to evening classes instead. She is often accompanied by Nainchanok, a senior student who helps take care of her.
Nainchanok has an older sister, Nartnaree, who has just graduated from the United States. Nartnaree is proud and ambitious, trying to get close to Karin Worapisut, a wealthy and handsome young man who studied abroad and is desired by many women—including Thipthida, an ambitious friend of Kanyanee, Karin’s younger sister.
At a welcome party for Karin’s return from America, Nainchanok meets Thipthida, his childhood friend, and also meets Khunying Donya, Karin and Kanyanee’s stepmother. Everyone admires Khunying Donya’s beauty and grace—except for Songsaeng, the family’s nanny, who secretly desires to take her place.
Behind her elegant image, Donya hides a painful past. While studying in the United States, she fell in love with an American man, married him, and had a daughter—without her family knowing. Later, she was urgently called back to Thailand when her father, a government minister, died suddenly, leaving the family in financial trouble. Her mother forced her to marry Khun Pakasit to restore the family’s status. Donya agreed for the sake of her family’s reputation.
Two years later, she tried to reconnect with her former husband, only to learn that he had come to Thailand with their daughter to find her. Still, she had no choice but to remain in her current marriage.
Meanwhile, Kanyanee hears about Don’s famous Pad Thai shop and visits, where she meets Dolly and Nainchanok. She is charmed by Dolly’s natural and warm personality and becomes a regular customer. However, Nainchanok’s family disapproves of his relationship with a street vendor’s daughter.
As Don’s shop gains even more fame and appears in newspapers, Anthony Black, Donya’s American friend, notices Don’s photo and shows it to her. Realizing the connection, Donya tells her mother and asks for permission to reunite with her past family.
At the same time, Manee—the woman legally married to Don—returns and reveals to Yai Maen that Dolly is not actually her biological daughter. She had only married Don to help him stay legally in Thailand. Later, Manee demands money in exchange for divorce, but Don refuses, and conflict arises.
Tensions escalate further when rumors spread about Donya’s past relationship with a foreigner, causing stress for her husband Pakasit. Eventually, Donya confesses everything to him and to Karin and Kanyanee. Despite the scandal, Pakasit decides he will not lose her, regardless of her past.
Meanwhile, Manee returns again and tries to take Dolly away. During a struggle, Yai Maen is violently pushed, hits her head, and later dies from her injuries. Dolly is devastated and begins to question the truth about her identity.
As secrets unravel, Nainchanok learns the truth about Dolly’s real parentage but hesitates to tell her. At the same time, Donya prepares to finally face the people she loves most—her former husband and child. She leaves the decision to Don, asking him to choose their future path.
And so, Don must decide what direction his life—and theirs—will take.
