Synopsis
When an illegal trade ring trafficking in Buddha heads begins to run rampant, Commander Sawee (Jakkrit Ammarat) assigns Police Captain Kantep (Tanin Manoonsilp), an ace suppressor from the 911 Task Force, to go undercover. He poses as the driver for Bunlert Laethuaking (Alex Rendell), a struggling, low-rent comedian equipped with excellent survival skills. Bunlert takes on the role of "Mike Joker," a major artifact broker, in a mission to expose the true ringleader of this traitorous operation, Kevin Smith (Kolat Attaseri).
Meanwhile, the "Vihok Weha" Unit (Sky Bird Unit) learns that Mike Joker is destroying the nation's culture. Commander Sathityut (Dom Hetrakul), the unit's leader who hides a dark secret, sends Police Captain Mesa (Oranate D. Caballes), a top-skilled officer, to go undercover as an amulet saleswoman named "Suay Samer" (Always Beautiful). Her goal is to get close to Mike Joker, who is notorious for being a womanizer, in a mission dubbed "Suay Rai Sai Lub."
The ad-hoc partnership hits a rocky start immediately. Mike, having sticky fingers, steals expensive items from a famous antique shop, causing the owner to hunt them down and nearly ruining the mission before it begins. Captain Kantep disciplines Mike with a beating and reports to Commander Sawee that he cannot work with such a clown. However, Sawee persuades him to continue, as Kevin Smith is arriving in Thailand soon. Kantep reluctantly agrees. Mike, despite hating Kantep, also agrees to the partnership because he is being hunted by Hia Hong (Seua Taurus), a brutal creditor.
While police units work to dismantle the ring, a famous case erupts in the Isan region. The head of Luang Pho Kham Kliang, the revered Buddha image of Roi Et province, is cut off by thieves. Noo Puk (Pichukkana Wongsarattanasin), a rice farmer, had gone to pray to the Buddha for a foreign husband to help pay off the informal debts her parents, Fak (Chalit Feuangarrom) and King (Orasa Prompratan), owe.
Sia Lek (Pasin Ruangwut), the godfather of Roi Et who wants to seize Noo Puk's land, faces bad luck when dozens of villagers march to his home to lynch Noo Puk, accusing her of cutting the Buddha's head. Luckily, her parents' reputation saves her. Noo Puk escapes to Bangkok, determined to find a rich foreign husband to clear her debts and recover the Buddha's head to prove her innocence.
In Bangkok, Noo Puk realizes city life isn't civilized. She is nearly raped by Lae (Pongneng Chernyim), a man from her village, but is saved by Captain Mesa. Seeing Noo Puk has nowhere to go, Mesa employs her as a maid in the home of Wattana (Santisuk Promsiri) and Prapaipan (Supranee Charoenpol)—Mesa’s own parents—who secretly conduct business with Commander Sathityut and Kevin Smith.
When Mike Joker meets Mesa (as Suay Samer), he flirts heavily. Kantep (as Ken, the driver) has to block Mike to keep the mission on track. The trio meets again in Roi Et, where Mesa followed Mike. Kantep catches her, and after a brief skirmish, they realize both are police officers—Suay Samer isn't just a saleswoman, and Ken isn't just a driver. Kantep's secret mission in Roi Et to catch Sia Lek almost succeeds, but a mysterious phone call tips Sia Lek off that Kantep is a cop. The duo barely escapes with Mesa's help.
Burdened by debt, Noo Puk goes to the Kevin Hope Foundation to find a kind foreigner but encounters Peter (Suchao Pongwilai), the perverted manager. She narrowly escapes with accidental help from "Ai Mike," an Isan man with a Western face who becomes her love interest.
Kantep discovers "Suay Samer" doesn't exist in the civil registry and tries to arrest her. After a fight, they confirm each other's identities. Kantep reveals he suspects her boss, Sathityut, but Mesa doesn't believe him. Meanwhile, Kantep begins to woo Mesa seriously, causing her to waver in her dedication solely to police work.
Commander Sathityut, fearing exposure as Kantep gets closer to Kevin Smith, sends Captain Chaiyachat (Pattarapol To-oun), a mole in Task Force 911 and Kantep's close friend. Chaiyachat, angry that Mesa (whom he delusionally thinks loves him) is falling for Kantep, tries to assassinate Kantep multiple times, but Mesa saves him.
Wattana, fearing Kevin Smith will switch brokers because he can't procure the Buddha head, consults his wife Prapaipan. They decide to offer Noo Puk as a "gift" to please Kevin. Noo Puk, despite loving Mike, agrees for her parents' sake. However, her love for Mike prevails; she rejects Kevin's money and runs away to live with Kantep and Mike instead.
Kantep nearly arrests Sia Lek with the Buddha head, but Sathityut kills Sia Lek to silence him and steals the head to sell to Kevin himself. Mesa, shadowing Sathityut, begins to agree with Kantep that her boss is the traitor.
Kantep and Mesa plan a trap using Noo Puk as bait to offer services to Kevin, allowing her to search for the hidden Buddha head. The plan nearly fails, but Kantep, Mesa, and Mike rescue her and find the evidence. They arrest Kevin, hoping he will implicate others. However, Mesa faces a nightmare when her parents beg her to change her testimony. Torn between duty and family, she recants her statement. Kevin walks free, and Kantep is sued, fired from the force, and nearly killed.
Kantep and Mesa reconcile and plan to arrest Sathityut again by convincing her parents to testify. When news leaks that Wattana and Prapaipan will implicate Sathityut, the corrupt commander orders a hit on them.
With no official authority left, the group turns to Commander Sawee for help. However, before they can expose the truth, Sawee is lured into the forest and murdered by Sathityut.
The police force eventually discovers Sathityut killed Sawee. They reinstate Kantep and Mesa to hunt down Kevin Smith and Sathityut. With the help of the special spy duo, Mike and Noo Puk, the four risk their lives to finally bring down the traitorous ring. The mission "Suay Rai Sai Lub" succeeds, the Luang Pho Kham Kliang head is returned to its home, and both couples find their happy endings.
