Synopsis
Luntom (Yui Chiranan), a wealthy owner of a textile factory and various other businesses, is a widow who remarries a man named Cheep (James Ruangsak). Blinded by love and infatuation, she hands over the management of her businesses to him, believing his claims of love. She is unaware that Cheep is actually after her fortune and is a serial womanizer behind her back. He specifically targets Usa (Jam Panichada), the niece of Luntom’s late husband who lives in the mansion and works as an accountant in the factory. Usa has a boyfriend, a police officer named Tharin (Aof Chanapol), and they plan to marry.
However, Usa is worried about Luntom, who suffers from a strange illness. The symptoms include shortness of breath, muscle weakness, and falling into a state where she appears dead, though her heart continues to beat. Doctors cannot find a physical cause and attribute it to stress and lack of rest.
Wan (Tom Ratchaneekorn), Luntom’s personal maid, asks for leave to go home. Unexpectedly, her sister and brother-in-law commit suicide to escape loan sharks, forcing Wan to take in their daughter, Rossukon (Jakjaan Akhamsiri). Luntom welcomes Rossukon to repay Wan's loyalty. However, Rossukon is ambitious and seeks a shortcut to a comfortable life. She seduces Cheep, who becomes infatuated with her, and they begin an affair. Usa discovers this but cannot find a chance to tell Luntom.
Cheep moves Rossukon into the main building. Luntom catches them but keeps quiet, hoping Cheep will eventually end it. She is wrong; Cheep and Rossukon conspire to kill her. They notice Luntom often stops breathing and figure if she truly dies, the assets will go to Cheep. Luntom eventually "dies" but miraculously revives. After this near-death experience, Luntom decides to build her own mausoleum—a beautiful Thai-style pavilion. She orders Usa and the servants to place her body there if she dies, rather than cremating her immediately. Everyone disagrees but dares not object.
Cheep refuses to give up. He teaches Luntom to drive and takes her on a trip, where Luntom hopes to prove she isn't sick and win back his love. However, the car crashes, and Luntom dies. Rossukon rushes to arrange a funeral and wants an immediate cremation. Usa and Tharin use a trick to delay it, drilling air holes in the coffin just in case. Usa steals the body from the temple to bring it to Dr. Phan (Somlek Sakdikul), Tharin's father, who possesses herbal knowledge to revive the dead. The attempt fails; Luntom does not wake up. However, her spirit witnesses the depth of Cheep and Rossukon’s betrayal and becomes consumed by vengeance. Her body is placed in the pavilion she built. Wan is tasked with bringing food offerings daily. The will states that if Cheep does not follow these instructions, he will be disinherited.
Cheep and Rossukon try to embezzle as much wealth as possible. Luntom’s spirit, furious at their defiance, begins to haunt the house to teach them a lesson, hoping they will repent. Rossukon brings her relatives to live in the house. Chalong (X Thitinan) is driven insane by the ghost, and Rewat (Bird Tharatip) dies from fright. Rewat’s wife, Naruemon (Prae Panrampha), stubbornly stays, hoping for a share of the money.
Cheep challenges Luntom frequently. In response, Luntom forces him to sleep in the coffin with her corpse. When he is found, Cheep and Rossukon try to flee, but Luntom uses her powers to make them drive in endless circles until they crash and end up in the hospital. Wan and Usa seek out Jaran (Ae Sittipan), a man who can communicate with spirits, begging Luntom to stop committing sins. Luntom refuses.
Usa tries to pay Rossukon to leave Cheep to appease Luntom’s spirit. Rossukon, broke, agrees, but the plan fails due to a misunderstanding with Jaran’s sister. Rossukon returns to the mansion, unrepentant. Luntom punishes Cheep by forcing him into the coffin again. Rossukon steals Luntom’s jewelry to flee, only to find the gold and diamonds have turned into fakes (an illusion).
Desperate, Rossukon asks Jaran for help, but the money he gives her turns into paper. Usa realizes Luntom is keeping Cheep prisoner in the graveyard but stays silent, seeing Cheep’s wickedness. Rossukon tries to hire exorcists, but monks and spiritual doctors refuse to harm Luntom’s spirit because of her past good deeds.
Luntom torments Rossukon until she is nearly crazy. Cheep begs for release. Luntom offers a trade: Rossukon must take his place in the mausoleum. Rossukon refuses, revealing her selfishness to Cheep. Rossukon flees to an undertaker, sleeping with him in exchange for finding a powerful sorcerer to defeat Luntom. After getting what he wants, the undertaker refuses to help. Enraged, Rossukon wears a Buddha amulet and enters the graveyard. Luntom rips the amulet from her neck.
Luntom forces Rossukon under the coffin, where corpse fluids drip onto her face. Luntom then locks both Cheep and Rossukon in a temple corpse warehouse. Starving, the two fight over the food offerings for the dead. In the end, Cheep kills Rossukon and goes completely insane.
Usa decides to cremate Luntom to end the cycle of revenge. Luntom’s spirit appears one last time to thank and bless everyone, leaving all her assets to Usa.
