Lanthom is a wealthy socialite and the owner of a prestigious clothing empire. She suffers from a bizarre medical condition that causes her to fall into a death-like trance—her body becomes completely still and she stops breathing, even though she remains fully conscious of her surroundings. Once the episode passes, she revives like a normal person.
One day, Lanthom is involved in a car accident. Although her body shows no severe external wounds, she becomes motionless and breathless. The doctors pronounce her dead.
The Suspicion
During the funeral rites, Usa, Lanthom’s niece, feels Lanthom’s hand squeeze hers as she pays her final respects. Usa is certain her aunt is still alive, but no one believes her—least of all Chip, Lanthom’s husband.
In reality, Chip is delighted by Lanthom’s "death." It allows him to openly live with his secret mistress, Rotsukhon, and seize Lanthom’s massive fortune. Eager to finalize the situation, Chip rushes the funeral arrangements.
A Desperate Plan
Refusing to give up, Usa enlists the help of her lover, Tharin, who is a police officer. Together with the temple undertaker, they secretly drill air holes into the coffin and loosen the funerary bindings (Pha Tra Sang), desperate to ensure that Lanthom can breathe until she eventually wakes from her deathly trance.
