Plerng Prai

This is a supernatural thriller about possession, mystery, and revenge.
Duean, a novelist, begins experiencing strange and disturbing events. Every morning she wakes up exhausted, with bruises and wounds on her body—even though she never leaves her room at night. She confides in her close friend Oum, who is married to Polpat, a charming film director. Unbeknownst to Duean, she is being possessed by the spirit of Plairung, a rising actress who died without knowing who killed her. Plairung’s spirit uses Duean’s body to search for the truth behind her murder.
During this time, Duean meets Pruek, a young police officer, and they grow close. Pruek is assigned by his superior Kornchit to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Plairung. Meanwhile, Plairung’s spirit, inhabiting Duean, seeks out Sakorn to question him, leading to a violent confrontation with another officer, Prames. Pruek begins to suspect Sakorn’s involvement.
One night, Pruek’s subordinate Pongchai witnesses Duean entering Sakorn’s house. Inside, Sakorn is found severely injured, while Duean flees. Despite evidence from CCTV showing Duean leaving her condo, she insists she never went out. She is arrested for attempted murder but later released on bail with Oum’s help.
While Sakorn is hospitalized under police guard, Plairung’s spirit again possesses Duean and attempts to kill him. Pruek and Pongchai intervene, and when Pruek places a sacred amulet around Duean’s neck, the spirit is forced out. However, Sakorn is soon murdered by Prames to silence him.
Seeking answers, Duean and Pruek visit Aunt Nuan, a spiritual medium. She warns that Duean is entering a dangerous phase of her life (the Thai belief of benjapes) and must wear the amulet at all times, while Pruek must protect her.
Meanwhile, Polpat is secretly having an affair with an actress named Veena. When Oum discovers the betrayal, she leaves him and stays with Duean. Behind the scenes, a darker conspiracy unfolds—Prames is involved in a trafficking and exploitation ring, passing women like Veena to powerful figures, including Kornchit. Veena suffers both physical and emotional abuse.
Driven by revenge, Veena follows Polpat to Duean’s condo, intending to kill him. However, Plairung’s spirit intervenes. The spirit then possesses Oum to confront Polpat about her murder, but Duean and Pruek manage to save Oum using the amulet.
As the truth unravels, Prames kills both Veena and Polpat to cover his tracks. Cherdchai, the condo manager, discovers incriminating CCTV footage and attempts to blackmail Prames—but is also killed. The crucial evidence, however, goes missing.
Duean eventually finds the CD and gives it to Pruek. Pongchai reviews it and discovers footage of Prames disposing of Plairung’s body. Before he can report it, Pongchai is murdered. Prames then attempts to kill Pruek as well, but he survives.
Finally, Plairung’s spirit uncovers the truth about her killer. Possessing Duean one last time, she sets out to take revenge.
