Synopsis
Hua Lamphong is the grand junction for people from across the country, seeing tens of thousands—sometimes hundreds of thousands—of travelers daily. Many who step into Bangkok fall for its charms, both good and bad, and refuse to leave. This sitcom-style series explores the lives of the colorful characters who have made the station their permanent home or workplace, blending comedy with social lessons about coexistence. The Station Veterans
- Lung Feud: A man who has lived as a vagrant in the station for 20 years. He lives in a "self-share" DIY shelter hidden under station benches that he can move around. He often wears donated railway official uniforms to act important and give "expert" (often wrong) advice to travelers. Though he acts poor to get freebies, he actually earns a decent living scavenging recyclables.
- Lung Kao: Feud’s longtime friend who successfully transitioned from being homeless to owning an SME—a traditional Thai coffee stall. Unlike Feud, he is strictly business: "Work is money, money is work." He never gives credit and charges interest like a bank.
- Paew Waew: Lung Kao’s young "niece" (who is actually his secret young wife) who helps run the coffee stall. She is fiercely protective of Kao, often scolding anyone—like the papaya salad vendors or station staff—who tries to flirt with him or get free coffee.
- Ai Roy: A police corporal (though his name literally means "Captain") stationed at the railway. He is the foil to Lung Feud’s antics and Lung Kao’s price-gouging. He has a soft spot for the station’s residents but must uphold the law.
- Chao Jon: A homeless boy who came to Bangkok three years ago to find his father. Despite Roy’s attempts to send him to a shelter or back home, he always returns to the station to work as a shoeshine boy and scavenge for scraps, often bickering with Lung Feud over "trash territory."
- Hia Gig & Jek Gak: Sisters who run the "Gig Gak General Store." Gig dresses like a "Tom" (tomboy) with hats and glasses to protect herself in the rough environment, while Gak loves to flaunt her beauty. Gig secretly likes Roy, leading to a comedic love triangle when Roy pretends to hit on Gak just to tease Gig.
- Ai Jo: The local thug attempting to establish himself as a "big boss" by extorting protection money from the homeless and running illegal tours or job placement scams.
Plot Highlights
The series is episodic but carries a continuous narrative. Each week features a guest star representing a traveler passing through the station.- The Living Clock: Similar to the legendary Khru Wai, Lung Feud's movements often dictate the "time" for other vagrants.
- The Great Exposure: Lung Feud claims for 20 years that he is just waiting for his sister to pick him up. While everyone laughs it off as a delusion, the series finale reveals a surprising twist when someone actually arrives for him.
- The Bomb Scare Romance: In a classic comedic misunderstanding, Gig decides to dress up as a woman to go shopping. Roy spots her acting suspiciously (out of shyness) and mistakes her for a suicide bomber. When he realizes how beautiful she is, he teases her, sparking a "frenemy" romance.
