Synopsis
Proy, the daughter of Kamnan Prueang of Thung Sam Ruean, is dating Thuan, a country boy. But their love faces obstacles when Phet, the son of Village Headman Phloy of the neighboring Ban Nong Kaeo village, falls in love with Proy. However, Proy never pays attention to him, causing Phet great shame. He declares himself an enemy of Thuan, his rival in love. Phet, hurt by Proy's indifference, becomes vengeful and jealous. He plans to burn down Thuan's house, causing Thuan's mother to die in the flames. Phet recklessly robs villagers and frames Thuan, and even instigates Kamnan Prueang and Village Headman Phloy to hunt down Thuan. Thapthim, Thuan's younger sister, rushes to inform him and begs him to hide in the forest until things quiet down. Phet becomes arrogant and urges Village Headman Phloy to ask for Proy's hand in marriage while Thuan is missing, with Kamnan Prueang's approval. But before Phet can marry Proy, Thuan and his gang emerge from the forest to attack Ban Nong Kaeo for revenge. Realizing he won't survive, Phet confesses all his crimes and apologizes to Thuan. Peace returns to Thung Sam Ruean. Release Date: December 12, 1951 at Chalerm Buri Cinema. Filming System: 16 mm color film (?), live dubbing.
