เรื่องราวการเเต่งงาน (นิกะห์) ของหญิงสาวที่ชื่อ โซเฟีย (เเทมมี่ กมลพร แสงวัชรสุนทร) ที่เป็นชาวมุสลิม กับ รุ่นพี่มหาวิทยาลัยอย่าง บักไข่ (ด้งเด้ง ณัฐวุฒิ แสนยะบุตร) คนอีสาน ที่เป็นชาวพุทธ ซึ่งทั้งคู่มีความแตกต่างทางด้านวัฒนธรรมและศาสนา แต่ดูเหมือนจะไม่ใช่ปัญหาใหญ่สำหรับความรักของทั้งสองที่จะครองรักกัน บักไข่จะต้องเดินทางไปแต่งงานกับโซเฟียหญิงสาวมุสลิมทางใต้ โดยมีเพื่อนเจ้าบ่าวอย่าง บักเจ้ย (ตาต้าร์ ชาติชาย ชินศรี) เพื่อนสนิทคนเดียวที่บักไข่จะสามารถพูดคุยและปรึกษาได้ ร่วมเดินทางไปงานแต่งในครั้งนี้ด้วย จากที่ทุกอย่างดูเหมือนจะราบรื่น ปัญหาใหญ่เริ่มต้นขึ้นเมื่อ บังลี พี่ชายจอมบงการของโซเฟีย บุคคลอันตรายในสายตาของน้องสาว ที่มีนิสัยเสียมาตั้งเเต่เด็ก ๆ ไม่ชอบการเปลี่ยนแปลง ไม่เปิดรับสิ่งใหม่ ๆ ความคิดของตัวเองต้องถูกเสมอ ด้วยความรักและห่วงน้องสาวอย่างมาก การไม่เห็นด้วยกับการแต่งงานในครั้งนี้จึงเป็นปัญหาใหญ่ บังลีหาทางที่จะขัดขวางงานแต่งงาน เพราะปมปัญหาในอดีต เเละความไม่เชื่อมั่นว่า ความต่างของวัฒนธรรมและศาสนา จะทำให้ครองรักกันได้ งานแต่งงาน (นิกะห์) ของทั้งคู่จะเกิดขึ้นได้หรือไม่
