A romantic drama blended with moral lessons, comedy, and thrilling action, “Blood of the Laborer” portrays the lives and inner struggles of working-class people with sincerity.

The story follows Chop, a laborer at a sawmill owned by Phrom in the Pak Khlong Rangsit area. He is in a relationship with Krong, the beautiful woman of the mill, who is admired by many—including Piti, Phrom’s nephew, and Damrong, the mill manager. Jealous of Chop as a rival in love, Piti incites Serm, a local thug who frequents a tavern, to attack him. However, the attempt fails, and Chop fights them off.

When Phrom discovers his nephew’s reckless spending, he punishes Piti by reducing his allowance. Enraged, Piti turns to crime. He learns that Sutjai, a timber trader, has just received a large payment from Phrom. Together with Serm, he ambushes and robs Sutjai, killing him in the process.

Unbeknownst to them, Uncle Tek, a friend of Chop, witnesses the crime while fishing nearby and rushes to inform Chop. Fearing exposure, Serm plans to flee. Meanwhile, driven by greed, Piti plots an even bigger crime—stealing money from Phrom. He orders Serm to create a distraction by having workers cut logs elsewhere, while he sets fire to the sawmill to cause chaos and break into Phrom’s safe.

However, Serm has his own plan. He secretly follows Piti and ambushes him, intending to kill him and take the money for himself. Just then, Chop arrives, and a gunfight breaks out. In the end, Serm is defeated and killed by Chop.
