After becoming engaged to Ratee, Phon takes his fiancée on a trip to his hometown in Saraburi Province. Their destination is a stone quarry where Phon once worked. Upon arrival, he brings Ratee to a cliff and begins recounting a tragic love story from his past—one involving two sisters, Nimnuan and Narumon.
In the past, Phon worked as an engineer at a quarry owned by Khun Lohakit Wichan, the father of the two sisters. There, he fell in love with Narumon, and they eventually agreed to marry, with the blessing of those around them—including Nimnuan, Narumon’s elder sister. However, just before the wedding, Phon had to urgently return to Bangkok for work, forcing them to postpone the ceremony. He promised to return within eight months.
During his absence, a man named Thaweeporn—the son of the quarry’s general manager—became infatuated with Narumon. Despite his relentless pursuit, she rejected him. In response, Thaweeporn deceived her and assaulted her at the cliff, promising to take responsibility afterward. But he never kept his word. Despairing and abandoned, Narumon eventually left home to find him in Bangkok.
By the time Phon learned the truth, Narumon was already gone.
In Bangkok, Narumon faced a bitter reality—Thaweeporn was already engaged. Worse still, she was humiliated and mistreated by both his fiancée and his mother, treated no better than a servant. Broken, she returned home, only to discover that Nimnuan was about to marry Phon.
Completely shattered, Narumon threw herself off the cliff. Phon rushed after her but arrived too late, holding her lifeless body in his arms. Moments later, he heard Nimnuan fall from another side of the cliff in the darkness. With her final breath, Nimnuan begged Phon to bring her body close to her sister before she, too, passed away.
