Khun Yai, a 61-year-old woman, has three sons: Pijak (Pom), 35; Pipat (Bee), 32; and Apisit (Berm), 25. She comes from a modest background and once struggled alongside her husband to build a business. However, her husband was unfaithful and left her for another woman. After their separation, Khun Yai took her youngest son back to her hometown in Ratchaburi, where she worked tirelessly—selling agricultural products and running a restaurant—to support her children.

Because she was so busy, she had little time to raise them herself. She entrusted Berm to Grandma Moi, a neighbor who drank heavily and lacked responsibility. Growing up in that environment, Berm became accustomed to substance abuse and developed aggressive, self-centered behavior.

Meanwhile, Pijak was sent abroad to study, and Pipat stayed with their father, raised by expensive nannies and spoiled with material comforts.

After their father passed away, Pijak and Pipat inherited the business, while Berm fell deeper into drug addiction, causing significant trouble for himself and his mother.

Pijak, having grown up during harder times, remained grounded and responsible. Living abroad taught him independence—he worked part-time jobs like washing dishes and serving food. As an adult, he successfully manages the family business but overworks himself to the point of illness.

He develops feelings for Apinya, his intelligent and strong-willed secretary. However, when he is diagnosed with stomach cancer, he distances himself from everyone, fearing he will become a burden. He keeps his illness a secret—even from his mother—and sends Apinya to help Pipat instead, increasing his own workload.

Eventually, Pijak reveals the truth to Khun Yai. Instead of despairing, she encourages him to make the most of every moment and turn crisis into an opportunity to bring happiness to others. Pijak follows her advice until his final days, cared for lovingly by Apinya.

Pipat, raised in wealth but emotional neglect, grows up shallow and materialistic. He lacks life skills and is easily deceived, leading to failures in both business and marriage. He has a wife, Jenny, and a young son, Mick, but neglects them. Mick begins to show the same behavioral problems Berm once had.

Seeing history repeat itself, Khun Yai steps in to help. She guides Jenny to become a better mother and wife, and even mortgages her home to support Pipat’s business. Despite others’ doubts, she stands by him, determined to be the safety net a mother should be.

With Apinya’s help, Pipat gradually matures. He becomes more responsible, listens to others, and eventually succeeds in business—repaying his mother and stabilizing his life.

Berm, burdened by feelings of inferiority, turns to drugs to cope. His addiction brings immense hardship to the family, costing Khun Yai her life savings. After entering rehabilitation, Berm tries to rebuild himself and take responsibility, especially after Pijak’s death.

Though he faces judgment and relapses once, Berm ultimately overcomes his addiction after witnessing others who have no chance to recover. He commits to changing his life.

In the end, the family heals. Khun Yai returns to live a simple, peaceful life in Ratchaburi. She finally fulfills her role as a mother—something she once overlooked due to her lack of understanding. Though she endured hardship later in life, she learns from her mistakes and prevents further destruction within her family.
