ก่อนสิ้นลมหายใจเรียวได้พูดบอกรักพัดเป็นครั้งสุดท้าย น้าฉัตรเข้ามาค้นห้องทำงานของบุ๊น จึงรู้ความจริงบางอย่างเกี่ยวกับการตายของเทอด แต่ยังไม่มีโอกาสบอกให้ไทรู้ ก็ถูกอาเพียวฆ่าตายเสียก่อน มังกรรู้ความจริงว่าไทคือลูกของเทอด จึงเข้ามาตีสนิทแล้วบอกไทว่า คนที่อยู่เบื้องหลังการตายของเทอดก็คือบุ๊น ไทนำเรื่องมาปะติดปะต่อกัน แต่ยังไม่รู้เรื่องที่แท้จริง มังกรจึงใช้แผนยืมดาบฆ่าคน เพราะหลักฐานหลังโฉนดได้ระบุชื่อของบุ๊น ไทแค้นมากจึงเข้าไปหาบุ๊น บุ๊นสารภาพและบอกว่า เขาไม่ใช่สาเหตุที่แท้จริง แต่เขาก็เก็บที่ดินผืนนี้เอาไว้เพื่อคืนให้กับทางการ ไทไม่เชื่อคิดว่าบุ๊นพูดเอาตัวรอด จึงใช้ปืนจี้บังคับให้บุ๊นไปเคารพหลุมฝังศพพ่อกับแม่ของเขา อาอวดและพัดมาพบพอดี ทำให้ไทต้องยิงบุ๊นโดยไม่มีทางเลือก แต่พัดเอาตัวเองเข้ารับกระสุนแทน อาฮวดจะตามไปฆ่าไทแต่บุ๊นห้ามไว้ เพราะคิดว่าสิ่งที่เขาเคยทำไว้มันกำลังตามสนอง บุ๊นขออย่างเดียวอย่าให้พัดเป็นอะไร ในขณะที่หลบหนีทำให้ไทได้รู้ความจริงบางอย่าง ไทจึงมาพบบุ๊นและพัดเพื่อขอโทษ บุ๊นได้เล่าความจริงทั้งหมดให้ไทฟังว่า ที่ดินบริเวณนั้นเป็นแหล่งแร่ทองคำ แต่มันเป็นที่ดินสาธารณะ เทอดกลัวว่าที่ดินจังหวัดจะเซ็นเท็จ ว่าการสำรวจไม่พบอะไร จึงรับรองการออกโฉนดที่ดินผืนนั้นให้กับบุ๊นไว้ เพราะเทอดเห็นว่ามังกรเป็นคนละโมบ ทำให้มังกรไม่พอใจและบุ๊นเชื่อว่า มังกรน่าจะให้อาเพียวมาลอบยิงเทอด เพราะคนที่อยากได้ผืนดินนั้น และอยู่เบื้องหลังทั้งหมดคือมังกร ไทจึงเข้าใจเรื่องราวทั้งหมด ปลายฟ้าถูกมังกรและโอตี่จับตัวไปเพื่อแลกกับโฉนด ไทจึงขอความช่วยเหลือจากบุ๊น บุ๊นรับปากแต่มีข้อแม้ว่า ไทต้องมาดูแลพัดที่เป็นอัมพาตครึ่งตัวไปตลอดชีวิต ไทตกลงเพราะในใจลึก ๆ แล้วเขารักปลายฟ้า เมื่อถึงเวลานัดหมายไทซุ่มยิงลูกน้องที่โอตี่วางเอาไว้ ทำให้แผนของมังกรพังพินาศ ทั้งสองฝ่ายจึงเกิดการต่อสู้กันขึ้น อาฮวดฆ่าอาเพียว ส่วนไทฆ่าโอตี่ มังกรถูกจับ เมื่อเรื่องร้าย ๆ จบลงด้วยดี แต่...ความรักของไทที่อยู่ตรงกลางระหว่าง...พัดหญิงสาวผู้พิการ เพราะเขาเป็นต้นเหตุ กับปลายฟ้าเด็กสาวสู้ชีวิตจน ๆ...ไทจะตัดสินใจอย่างไร?
