The Moonlight Necklace tells the story of Putti (Pat), a young archaeologist and columnist for the magazine “Than.” He specializes in uncovering lost ancient sites and artifacts, which he writes about in his column. The object he has been searching for his entire life is the “Moonlight Necklace,” a legendary gem from the hidden city of Bangbod, believed to be kept inside the Paksa Chamlong Temple.

Melanie, Putti’s girlfriend and the owner of Than magazine, along with her father, Met, pretends to help him track down Dr. Miang—a man once hired by Met to steal the Moonlight Necklace, with the help of a hunter named Boontha. However, they managed to obtain only one gem, a fact unknown to Putti.

When Putti finally finds Dr. Miang, he is shocked to discover that the doctor has gone insane and is now living in a mental hospital. Although Dr. Miang speaks incoherently and is difficult to understand, he gives Putti a bird-shaped statue, which turns out to be a crucial key that allows him to enter the inner chamber of the Paksa Chamlong Temple.

After leaving the hospital with the statue, Putti begins experiencing strange visions, as if he is being transported back into the past.

Because of the mysterious suicide of Paew (Chonticha Nawmasukon), the niece of the influential minister Wiset (Dilok Thongwattana), Anon (Theeradej Wongpuapan), an undercover police officer, is urgently assigned to investigate the case.

He is assisted by Tinnaphop (Erawat Rueangwut), a young man with psychic abilities who has been continuously working with the authorities as a consultant. Both Anon and Tinnaphop suspect that the Soleil cult—a group that worships the sun as a god—may be behind the death.

At the same time, Nuengruethai (Sunisa Jett), also known as Nueng, a beautiful businesswoman who owns the largest fragrance company in the country, seeks help in tracking down her younger brother, Tharit (Atiwat Tiangmongkol), also known as Song, who disappeared after joining the cult.
