Ban Kan Mayom

This drama was originally produced in 2008 but was suspended from broadcasting for over a decade. It was finally released quietly on the Ch3+ app in 2021.
The story follows a dedicated teacher who devotes her life to underprivileged students in the remote rural sub-district of Tha Talat, a tiny place few have ever heard of. At the heart of the village sits a school with a massive star gooseberry tree standing before its gates; its switches are the ultimate dread of every mischievous child. For generations, a lone female teacher has stood her ground, teaching cohort after cohort of students single-handedly.
The colorful and soul-stirring tale of Kru Sai Soy, Baan Kan Mayom School, and her young pupils—such as Tidtee, Koh, Anong, Klae, and Somsri—is told alongside the lives of the town’s older residents. From Kaew, the motorboat helmsman, to Nuan, the school janitor, and the village drunkard Ta Sang, the story is filled with laughter, tears, and the resilient smiles of children whose faces are often stained with both dirt and joy.
