Synopsis
Pring was an orphan who lived with her eldest sister. She had been subjected to hard labor since childhood. Later, Khun Prateep adopted her, which made Pring's life somewhat better. However, Khun Prateep was often fussy and constantly complaining, though she only did so to teach Pring about proper manners and etiquette. Pring usually resented this, frequently turning a deaf ear, and often thought that despite being rich, Khun Prateep was also quite stingy.
As she grew into a young woman of fifteen or sixteen, she began using her feminine wiles to charm people everywhere in exchange for little things she wanted. Meanwhile, Pring's other sister, who was already married, wanted to find a match for Pring. But a scandalous event happened first—Pring ended up having a relationship with and taking her first husband, a doctor who was about her father's age, twenty years her senior. He was not handsome and was old, but he was wealthy and could give Pring everything she desired. Pring, therefore, showed him great affection, though her husband's parents strongly disliked her.
Later on, Dr. Pinit suffered a ruptured blood vessel in his brain and passed away suddenly. He left behind a pregnant Pring, right around the time World War II was about to begin. Despite grieving her husband's passing, her youth allowed her to quickly regain her cheerfulness. A new man had entered her life: Dr. Prasan, a friend of Dr. Pinit. He fell madly in love with Pring, even though he already had a family of his own.
However, Pring's actual second husband was Phairoj, a law student who helped deliver Pring's baby during the war. The two lived together for only a short period. Phairoj was irresponsible and addicted to gambling, squandering Pring's money day after day. As a result, Pring also fell into the same vice. The inheritance Dr. Pinit had left her began to dwindle. During this time, her infant son passed away, leaving Pring deeply sorrowful. Overwhelmed by mounting problems, Phairoj eventually committed suicide.
Seizing the opportunity, Dr. Prasan then asked Pring to marry him. The couple lived together, but due to a violent incident fueled by jealousy and a shooting, Dr. Prasan ended up becoming impotent. Pring had to endure a bitter life until another man entered the picture: Dr. Somprasong, who hired Pring to manage his clinic. Even though he already had a nurse girlfriend, he could not resist Pring's seduction, and they eventually slept together right in the house where the bedridden Dr. Prasan lay.
Although Dr. Prasan loved Pring dearly, witnessing her infidelity was unbearable for him. He set fire to Pring's clinic, burning it to the ground, and perished in the flames himself.
Pring then married for the fourth time to Dr. Somprasong, but he ended up being shot. He had a child with Pring, but upon giving birth, Pring gave the baby to her sister, Choi. Later, she took her fifth husband, Boonchuay, but they did not stay together for long. Her sixth husband was Khun Luang, who offered to clear all of her debts in exchange for her living with him. Pring agreed. But not long after, Khun Luang passed away. Pring then bestowed the title of her seventh husband upon Premruthai, her young stepson, who was Khun Luang's own biological son.
