Rattanawadee

Rattanavadee tells the story of the blossoming love between Princess Rattanavadee (played by Yeena Salas) and Than Danaiwatana (played by Gun Svasti Na Ayudhya), a close friend of Princess Rattanavadee’s brother, Tan Chai Poj.
The story begins when Princess Rattanavadee travels across Europe for a vacation. She has arranged for Than Danai to act as her tour guide, but when he fails to show up on time, she is left furious. When they finally meet, the Princess mistakes Than Danai for "Nai Lek," a low-ranking court official. Seizing the opportunity to stay close to her, Than Danai decides to maintain the charade. He secretly writes to Tan Chai Poj, explaining the situation and asking him to keep his true identity a secret while he personally escorts the Princess on her travels.

A Journey of Misunderstandings

Throughout their travels, several other characters join the group:

• Prapat: A young Thai man with a poor attitude whom the Princess finds uninteresting.
• The Ketchkamkong Family: A Thai travel group led by Sombat Khajornchaiyakul.
• His daughter, Sa-ardsri, develops a crush on "Nai Lek," much to the Princess’s annoyance.
• His son is deeply smitten with the Princess but is painfully shy.

Despite these distractions, the happiness of the journey allows Than Danai and Princess Rattana to grow closer, and feelings of love begin to take root in both their hearts.

The Truth Revealed

The secret begins to unravel when Wimon, a close friend of the Princess and an exchange student in England, joins the group and recognizes "Nai Lek" as Than Danai. Simultaneously, the Princess receives a letter from Thailand stating that Than Danai has officially sent representatives to ask for her hand in marriage from her aunt, Chao Pa.
Feeling betrayed and angered by the formal marriage proposal—especially since she still blames him for "standing her up" at the start of the trip—the Princess becomes cold toward him. Than Danai turns to Wimon for help in smoothing things over.
The final straw comes when Nopp (the brother of Anon and a close friend of Prisana) encounters Than Danai and greets him by his royal title right in front of the Princess. Realizing she has been deceived the entire time, Princess Rattana is heartbroken and livid. She immediately flees to Rome, Italy, taking her aunt Sroi and Wimon with her.

Will She Forgive Him?

Deeply in love since the moment they met, Than Danai rushes after her to Rome to beg for forgiveness. Whether the Princess can overlook the deception for the sake of love is a story that unfolds in the classic drama Rattanavadee.
