Synopsis
Prisana Suthakul (played by Sushar Manaying) is the youngest of four daughters born to Mrs. Samorn and the late Phra Wichit Montri. Her name, which means "Mystery" or "Puzzle," stems from the fact that she was born six months after her father passed away. This led her father’s relatives—who already looked down on Samorn for being a "poor teacher"—to maliciously gossip that Prisana might be illegitimate.
Facing rejection from her husband's family, Samorn worked tirelessly to raise her four daughters: Ubon, Siree, Anong, and Prisana. The only relative who remained kind to them was Wirat, Phra Wichit’s younger brother. When Wirat was stationed in the United States for government service, he took Prisana, his favorite niece, to live with and study there.
Meanwhile, the most talked-about bachelor in society is Tan Chai Pote Preecha (played by Sornram Teppitak), a handsome royal and heir to the massive fortune of Sila Khao Palace. Tan Chai is very protective of his younger sister, Tan Ying Rattanawadee, and also cares for his cousins, Prawit and Wimon.
Prisana eventually takes a job as an English teacher at Sikhalai School, where Tan Ying Rat and Wimon are her students. As Prawit invites Prisana to more social events at the palace, Tan Chai begins to see her intelligence and charm, slowly falling in love with her. Prisana, in turn, is impressed by Tan Chai’s gentlemanly nature, and a mutual attraction grows.
Later, Prisana becomes close with a new neighbor, Arnon (played by Toni Rakkaen), a trendy "student from abroad." Their shared background makes them fast friends, but this causes Tan Chai to become jealous. Prisana’s own pride leads her to act defiantly toward Tan Chai, believing he looks down on women. When rumors swirl that Prisana and Arnon are getting engaged, a heartbroken Tan Chai flees to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai to go hunting.
As they recover and plan a quiet engagement, social rivals (like Ratee and her mother) attempt to sabotage the union by telling Tan Chai’s aunt that Prisana is "low-born" and of doubtful parentage. However, during a grand party at the palace, Prisana’s uncle Wirat returns from America with a letter written by Phra Wichit Montri before his death, officially recognizing Prisana as his daughter.
With the "mystery" of her birth finally solved and her status confirmed, the story concludes with a magnificent, fairy-tale wedding between Prisana and Tan Chai Pote Preecha.

The Return to Thailand
In America, Prisana received an excellent education and was raised by Wirat like his own daughter. She grew into a vibrant, confident, and talented young woman with "Western" manners, excelling in music, sports, and art. Misunderstandings and Jealousy
Prawit eventually asks Tan Chai to speak to Prisana on his behalf. Though Tan Chai loves her himself, he chooses to act as a "matchmaker" for his friend. Prisana, however, views Prawit only as a friend (and a potential brother-in-law for Anong) and rejects his romantic advances.
