Synopsis

"We will be rich!!!" This is the ultimate dream of the members of the Matayath-Udom household, a hilarious family who owns an antique buying and recycling business. They live a "sticky" life in the "Tueng Nued" (stingy) style, saving everything in their path to make the most money possible—to the absolute extreme.
The person who planted these deep roots of frugality in the family's mind is Prayad (Krirk Schiller), the head of the family and owner of the antique business, who has god-level recycling knowledge. He is solidly supported by Chae-Im (Jarunee Suksawat), the eccentric housewife with excellent food preservation skills, and Grandpa Som (Settha Sirachaya), Prayad’s father, a herbal expert who instills moral principles and honest saving methods into his grandchildren.
The grandchildren include:
  • Aomsap (Aun Chayapol), the handsome eldest grandson, a first-year business student and theorist who sees money-making opportunities in every situation, with a burning dream to be richer than a young tycoon.
  • Aomsin (Mameaw), the middle granddaughter, a trendy high school student who is stingy to the core, holding the motto: "In on every trend, but not a single baht spent."
  • Kapook (Nong Peem), the youngest grandson and the house troublemaker, a voracious eater bordering on wasteful, who has hilarious saving methods that often cause headaches for everyone at home.
Their chaotic stingy life gets even messier when Wansai (Manow), the fabulous but short-tempered eldest daughter of the luxurious Roo-Alangkan family, drives the car of Fin (Panat), her narcissistic boyfriend, while looking for her younger sister. She almost hits Aomsap, but luckily swerves just in time, suffering only minor injuries while Aomsap narrowly escapes death.
The near-crash accident causes Gonthong (Kob Songsit), the head of the Roo-Alangkan family, to explode with rage. He was once Prayad’s best friend until Prayad set his butt on fire for stealing his girlfriend, turning them into bitter enemies. Gonthong vows to sue Aomsap. Prayad rushes in to defend his son, and the two fathers nearly come to blows.
Wansook (Best Pattharawaree), the youngest daughter of the luxury house, sees the fathers fighting and can't take it anymore. She fakes an epileptic seizure to diffuse the situation, causing the two families to temporarily stop fighting. When they get home, Jerd-Ratsamee (Took Chanokwanun Rakcheep), the madam of the luxury house, takes care of Wansook until she recovers. However, Jay Mud (Rudklao), a land broker who constantly stirs up trouble between the two families so they will move out and she can buy their land, reveals that Wansook had disappeared because she is broke.
And so, the war between the two households explodes in earnest, with the future of their families at stake. How will their chaotic stories end? Follow the fun in "Krob Krua Tueng Nued Tued Khan Thep" (The Ultimate Stingy Family), airing Monday-Friday at 18:00 on Channel 7. Premiering Thursday, March 5, 2015.
Rich people aren't defined by what they have, but by what they give. When we can share, it means we are already rich!!!
