Mia Tuean

Fah Sang (Koy Ratchawin) works tirelessly as a ceremonial dancer at the Erawan Shrine, a "pretty" model, and an MC for car launches to support herself. Torsak (Pitch Galchai), a friend who is in love with her, offers to pick her up, knowing she works hard to fund her education and is waiting for a full-time job. However, Fah declines, not wanting to burden him.
Khet (Film Rattapoom) comes to Bangkok to buy a new truck for his sawmill business. He meets Fah and is immediately smitten. When Fah gets robbed of her wages, Khet steps in to save her, and they share a moment of mutual attraction. However, an urgent call about problems at his sawmill forces Khet to leave before he can ask for her number.
Mesa (Janesuda Parnto), a lavish spender, runs out of money and incites Jom (Pasin Reungwoot) to extort money from Fah by using her father's illness as an excuse. Jom mocks Fah, suggesting she use her looks to trick rich, stupid men out of their money. Fah remains silent. Khet, who happens to be nearby, overhears this. He then sees Torsak insisting on taking Fah home. Misunderstanding the situation, Khet believes Fah is a promiscuous gold digger. His admiration turns into contempt.
Ratree (Tom Ratchaneekorn), Mesa’s mother, married Prida (Tanongsak Supakan), Fah’s widowed father. Ratree and Mesa act like high-society ladies but treat Fah like a servant. When Prida has an accident and becomes bedridden (a vegetable), the family falls into financial ruin due to Ratree's spending. Ratree constantly abuses Fah, blaming her and her father for being burdens.
Desperate for money, Ratree mortgages the house to Bancha (Trakarn Punthumlerujee). When the debt comes due, she has no money. She offers to send her daughter to work off the debt as a servant or whatever Bancha pleases. Mesa overhears this and refuses to go to an "old man," running off with Jom instead. Ratree then tricks Fah, crying and begging her to go in Mesa’s place to pay the interest so Prida can get better medical care. Fah agrees for her father’s sake.
Ploysai (Krittaporn Hanyothin) visits Khet, inviting him on a trip. Everyone assumes she is his future wife. Bardin or "Din" (Punjan Prama), Bancha’s son whom Khet loves like a brother, also returns from his studies.
When Fah arrives at the sawmill as the "debt payment," Khet is shocked. His prejudice kicks in; he insults her dignity, believing she is selling herself for money. He forces her to stay in his room. Sali, the nanny who favors Ploysai, spreads gossip that Fah is Khet's "Mia Tuean" (Illicit Wife). Khet declares he will never respect her as a wife; she is merely there to clear the debt. Privately, he treats her aggressively, using his rights as a creditor to force himself on her, despite conflicting feelings of love and hate.
Ploysai returns and marks her territory, bullying Fah with Sali’s help. Din meets Fah and is struck by her kindness, sparking a rivalry with the spoiled Ploysai. Meanwhile, Ratree and Mesa run out of money again. Realizing Khet is rich, they move into his house, pretending to be a loving family. Khet suspects them but thinks Fah is part of the scam. He misunderstands Fah’s attempts to earn money by selling snacks as greed.
Jealous of Din’s kindness toward Fah, Khet builds a secluded cabin by a waterfall. He drags Fah there, accusing her of flirting with Din. He forces her to do hard labor—raising chickens, growing vegetables, and cooking on a charcoal stove—thinking she will fail. However, Fah, used to hardships, manages perfectly. During a rainstorm, they become intimate. Khet realizes Fah was innocent (a virgin) and falls deeply in love, though he remains arrogant and refuses to admit it.
Pressure mounts for Khet to marry Ploysai. Fah, heartbroken and now pregnant (though she hides it), tells Khet she accepts her status as his "illicit wife" so he can marry Ploysai properly. Khet misunderstands, thinking she wants a payoff to leave.
Ratree and Mesa plot to make Fah miscarry. They frame Fah for pushing Bancha down the stairs (causing him to become paralyzed and mute) and stealing money. Khet kicks Fah out, but she refuses to leave, determined to care for Bancha to prove her innocence. Din discovers Fah is pregnant, but she forbids him from telling Khet.
Ratree orders Jom to kill Fah and the baby. Jom also kidnaps Ploysai. Din rescues them, and the police arrest Jom, who implicates Ratree and Mesa for their crimes, including harming Bancha.
Khet finally learns the truth but Fah has already fled with her father. Ploysai breaks off the engagement and chooses Din. Khet spends his time caring for Bancha until he recovers. Din eventually reveals that the baby is Khet’s. Khet searches frantically but cannot find her. Torsak offers to marry Fah to protect her reputation, but she refuses, choosing to be a single mother.
Fate brings them together when Khet takes Bancha to a hospital where Prida is also being treated. Prida wakes up from his coma. Khet tries to reconcile, but Fah is hurt and refuses. Finally, Din and Ploysai stage a fake emergency, claiming Khet is missing in a landslide. Distraught, Fah confesses her love to the air. Khet appears, and they reconcile. Khet brings Fah home, where their fathers have prepared a wedding. Fah ceases to be the "Illicit Wife" and becomes Khet’s legal, beloved wife.
