Synopsis
Koom Wiang Kaew, a grand and beautiful mansion aged around 200 years, is owned by the 70-year-old Chao Ketthawa (Pismai Wilaisak). However, no one knows that about 2 kilometers away, there lies a dilapidated, abandoned mansion by the Ping River. Rumors swirl that this abandoned mansion is haunted; teenagers who once tried to test their courage there fled in terror, stricken with fever. In reality, a drug gang uses it as a hideout and fabricated the ghost stories to keep people away.
Thapakorn (Oliver Beaver), a director, and Madame Su (Sikarinthan Plaiprut), his beautiful wife and producer, receive orders from the channel to produce a period drama. They cast Triphop (Yuttana Puenglarp) as the lead actor. Triphop has a close friend named Kaew (Anuchit Sapanphong), a broke writer. Triphop suggests that Kaew write the plot for this drama.
One night, a massive storm hits, and lightning strikes the spire of the abandoned mansion. The drug gang discovers a hidden basement containing a grave. That same night, a fight breaks out among them, leading to bloodshed. The blood seeps into the grave, awakening the spirit of Chao Nang Yodla (Savika Chaiyadej) and her servants, Nang Pan (Sitang Punapop) and Nang Puen (Lukkana Wattanawongsiri), from their imprisonment. Yodla’s spirit has been waiting for the return of Triphop, her lover, for a very long time.
Pimdao (Monchanok Saengchaipiangpen), a good-natured actress known for playing villain roles, lives with her mother Jantra (Pimpan Chalaikupp), a university professor and dharma practitioner, and her younger sister Pimduen (Thanida Thanawat), a senior history student. Pimdao meets Triphop at an event, and a misunderstanding leads to mutual dislike. Meanwhile, Malarin (Parnward Duaysianklao), a sweet-looking actress who is actually vicious, has a crush on Triphop. She asks BB (Morris K), her golden-hand manager, to pull strings so the channel casts her as the heroine opposite Triphop.
Kaew submits the synopsis for "Koom Nang Kruan," a love triangle mini-series between two noble ladies and a man from the capital. The channel approves it for immediate production. Initially, Thapakorn worries about Kaew's lack of discipline, but within three days, the entire script is delivered. The team is satisfied, and additional casting begins. Triphop suggests Thapakorn cast Pimdao as the villainess so he can continue to tease her.
Thapakorn goes to scout locations in Wiang Kaew District. Por Liang Thada (Satawat Doonwichit) welcomes the team. Kaew invites everyone to stay at Koom Wiang Kaew. Thapakorn chooses the main mansion as the primary set. Kaew offers numerous rooms for the actors and two large guest houses. Although there are rumors of ghosts, Madame Su doesn't care because it reduces costs and increases profits.
Thapakorn plans to film the entire series in Wiang Kaew, utilizing the forest, hot springs, and Koom Wiang Kaew, with additional sets, aiming to finish in one month. BB complains about being upcountry for so long, but Malarin agrees in hopes of being close to Triphop.
As Pimdao prepares to travel to Wiang Kaew, Jantra meditates and sees a vision of Yodla and a flock of crows. She gives Pimdao a "Fire Tiger Fang" (a protective amulet) to carry. Triphop and Pimdao feel strange about the mansion. despite rumors of fierce ghosts leaking from the crew, Thapakorn orders everyone to keep quiet. Rachen (Isariya Patharamanop), a high-society drug-addicted actor and part of Por Liang Thada's gang, wants a job and charms Madame Su into giving him a role. Rachen takes a liking to Pimdao, and her kindness towards him makes Triphop jealous.
On the day of the worship ceremony, Thapakorn and Madame Su plan a small ritual. However, BB brings in two ghost-hunting TV hosts to lead the ceremony. The hosts improvise about auspiciousness until suddenly, a corpse falls from the mansion spire right onto the offering table. The hosts scream and flee back to Bangkok. Malarin seizes the opportunity to pretend to be scared so Triphop will take care of her.
During filming, the power of the Fire Tiger Fang blinds Yodla from seeing Pimdao. Consequently, Yodla directs her jealous rage at Malarin. Malarin faces various accidents on set. At first, BB mistakenly thinks it is Pimdao's doing, but soon everyone on set begins to feel surrounded by unseen dangers.
That night, Yodla hypnotizes Triphop and sends a ghostly carriage to pick him up. Malarin, sneaking out to find Triphop, follows him. She sees the carriage drive through a wall of trees to the abandoned mansion by the river. Yodla casts a spell making Triphop see the abandoned mansion as beautiful. She plays a love song on the Seung (musical instrument) that he had composed for her in a past life. Triphop is entranced. However, Malarin enters, sees Yodla in her translucent ghostly form, and screams. Yodla attacks Malarin. Triphop wakes from the spell, and Yodla vanishes. Triphop carries the unconscious Malarin back to the mansion near dawn. Pimdao sees them and misunderstands their relationship. Malarin is so terrified of the ghost she becomes delirious and is hospitalized. Pimdao, pitying her, gives the Fire Tiger Fang to Malarin, whose condition immediately improves.
Without the Fire Tiger Fang, Yodla finally sees Pimdao and instantly recognizes her as Dararai, the woman who stole her lover in the past. Furious, Yodla appears in Pimdao's dream and hypnotizes her to recall her past life. Pimdao wakes up realizing that she is the reincarnation of Dararai, who had taken Triphop from Yodla and killed her long ago. Now, Yodla has returned for revenge and to reclaim everything.
How will Pimdao repay the karma she created in the past? Will the love between Triphop and Pimdao be fulfilled in this life?
