Synopsis
The Charoentham family—consisting of Pruek, the good-humored father; Didi, the witty mother; Fahsai, the innocent eldest daughter; and Payu, the smart and cheerful son—is facing a crisis: their home is about to be seized. The cause lies with Pruek, who entered into a ceramic export business with a friend. Due to his overly optimistic nature, Pruek was cheated out of everything, leading to bankruptcy. While they are worrying about how to solve this problem, a letter arrives stating that the Charoentham family has inherited a fortune from Pruek's distant relative. They are granted joint ownership of a beautiful mansion because Pruek's father was the adopted younger brother of the Khun Ying Mae (Lady Mother), the mansion's owner. Before Pruek's father passed away, Khun Ying Mae promised him that she would never let the Charoentham family suffer. After Pruek's father died, Pruek's mother decided to move out of that mansion.
When the family moves into the mansion, they discover that seven of their relatives—the children of the original owner—are already living there. It seems that five out of the seven are trying suspiciously hard to be nice to Fahsai and Payu. Additionally, there is Khun Ying Noppanapha, a distant relative of the family, who keeps coming around hoping to snatch the inheritance as well. Only Hok (Six), the youngest brother, and Jed (Seven), the youngest sister, along with Auay and Yupin, the two maids, seem to be sincere.
Being optimistic people, the Charoentham family doesn't suspect much regarding the overly kind but untrustworthy behavior of their relatives. However, they later learn the secret reason why the mansion's owner gave the Charoentham family a share of the estate. It turns out that the first five children (1-5) of the owner are eccentric and selfish, hoping to hoard the entire inheritance for themselves without caring for or earning the love of others. The owner wanted to teach all seven children a lesson. Therefore, she wrote this will to include very distant relatives like the Charoentham family in the inheritance to fulfill her promise to Pruek's father and to help her children learn how to live with others. Furthermore, she set a rule: Within 3 years, whoever can make the children of the Charoentham family love, respect, and willingly give them their most important possession will inherit the remaining business and the entire family fortune.
While the mansion owner's children, divided into factions, pretend to be nice to Fahsai and Payu hoping to seize the remaining family business and inheritance, Hok gradually begins to feel a bond with Fahsai that goes beyond being just relatives. Their love slowly begins to blossom amidst the fake kindness that the people in the house are showing the Charoentham family.
