When Kamin (Sukollawat Kanarot), a young royal bodyguard from the city of Raya, is sent to test and retrieve Mattana (Pechaya Wattanamontri)—the Thai fiancée of Prince Makey (Louis Hesse d'Alzon), the crown prince—for the engagement ceremony in Raya, he faces an unexpected challenge. Mattana's spirited and unyielding nature leads her to scheme against him, but Kamin sees through her tricks and manages to tame her.
Their closeness eventually blossoms into love, yet Kamin chooses to fulfill his duty by delivering Mattana to Prince Makey. Meanwhile, the internal politics of Raya are in turmoil. General Witoon (Thapakorn Dissayanan) plots to seize power, orchestrating a rift between Prince Makey and Kamin over Mattana, while also whispering lies to the Queen that Kamin is actually the King's eldest son.
Consequently, Kamin is framed as a rebel and forced to flee, with Mattana aiding his escape. However, unable to bear seeing the people suffer, Kamin returns to save the kingdom. Makey eventually accepts defeat regarding both his heart and the throne, but Kamin refuses the crown, choosing instead to remain solely the bodyguard who protects Mattana's heart forever.
