Synopsis
Khun Ying Duangduean (Duangta Tungkamanee), a wealthy owner of the famous "Khun Ying" frozen food empire, falls ill with heart disease. Realizing she could die at any moment, she thinks back to the mistake that became the stain on her life: hiring Tawan (Somchai Kemglad), a fleet-footed dance instructor, to teach her and her only daughter, Pimdao (Sarocha Watitapun).
However, it turned into a scandal when Pimdao secretly had an affair with Tawan and became pregnant, despite Khun Ying having already betrothed her to Jentham (Santisuk Promsiri), a young lawyer with a promising future. In her anger, Khun Ying kicked her only daughter out of the house, hoping that once she realized how terrible Tawan was, she would return.
Twenty years pass, and Pimdao never returns. Nucha (Pitchaya Nitipaisalkul), the nephew Khun Ying adopted, helps announce a nationwide search for Pimdao. The news that the wealthy Khun Ying is looking for her daughter and grandchild reaches Tawan and Saengla (Hansa Jungviwattanawong), his new wife.
Tawan is frustrated that a chance to get rich has floated right in front of him, but he can't grab it because Pimdao and their child actually died 20 years ago.
However, Tawan meets Angun (Khwanruedi Klomklom), who used to work as Pimdao's assistant and friend. He sees Khanun (Paowalee Pornpimol), Angun's daughter, who is about the same age as his deceased child would have been. Seeing Khanun's cunning nature and her desperate need for money to treat her sick mother, Tawan pleads with her to cooperate and pretend to be Khun Ying's heir to inherit the fortune.
Meanwhile, Kaikhao (Ronnavee Serirat), the son of their landlord, suggests Khanun marry him so he can ask his mother for money to treat his mother-in-law. Khanun chases him away and consults her gang, consisting of Thongthae (Kornwich Sungkitboon) and Jiw (Saranwat Wichianrat). Her two best friends agree that Angun's life is more important and that the medical costs are just pocket change to Khun Ying. They encourage Khanun to join Tawan's scheme to trick Khun Ying out of the money to save her mother.
When Khanun appears, Nucha is the only one suspicious that this father-daughter duo has come solely to fleece Khun Ying.
On the other side, Jentham's family, who has now become the family lawyer for Khun Ying, along with his wife On-uma (Passorn Boonyakiart), urge their calm and composed son, Athip (Gundon Akasan), to find a way to win Khanun's heart so they can get a share of the inheritance. Athip is reluctant because he is secretly dating Jirapa (Aerin Yuktadatta), a beautiful secretary. When Jirapa meets Khanun, she is confident that Athip would never leave her for a country bumpkin like that, so she allows her boyfriend to pretend to charm the heiress.
Meanwhile, Nucha starts to have feelings for Khanun but is disappointed when he catches her and realizes she isn't the real heir. Khanun regretfully admits that she really needs the money to treat her mother and has never felt at ease deceiving Khun Ying.
The two decide to tell Khun Ying the truth, but her heart condition flares up before they can do so. This forces Nucha and Khanun to rethink their plan, fearing Khun Ying wouldn't be able to handle the shock.
How will the story end? Find out in the drama "Woon Nuk Ruk Rue Lork" (Tricky Love or Deception).
