Synopsis
When Dr. Ditsapong Surawat, who works at the world's number one computer company in the United States, is forced to return to Thailand after his uncle, Danu Surawat, calls to inform him that his parents, Danai and Anong, have died in a car accident, tragedy strikes. On his way from the airport to his home, Ditsapong is robbed and has his throat slit by a taxi driver, who dumps his body in a desolate alley. Foundation officials collect his body as an unidentified corpse.
That same night, Jirin and her friends are evicted from their accommodation and have to find a new place to stay. Coincidentally, the rental house they find is located in the very same alley where Ditsapong was murdered.
At the Surawat house, Ditsapat, Ditsapong’s autistic twin brother, cries uncontrollably, feeling hurt that his brother hasn't shown up for their parents' funeral. Nualnoi, their aunt who is a nurse, tries to comfort him and urges her son, Daenthep, to ask friends in America to help track down Ditsapong.
Ditsapong’s spirit returns home, but he is shocked to find that no one can hear him. Furthermore, the guardian spirits of the house refuse to let him enter. He realizes then that he is dead. A mysterious force pulls him back to the scene of his death, where he saves Jirin just as she is about to be assaulted. Jirin later discovers the truth that he is a ghost. She hires La-or, a "high-tech shaman," to exorcise him, but the attempt fails because La-or ends up hitting it off with Ditsapong. They get along so well that they even establish an "Association of Shamans and Spirits of Thailand."
One day, Jirin gets to know Ditsapong’s family and meets Daenthep. Daenthep falls for Jirin and chases after her, making Ghost Ditsapong incredibly jealous. Fearing that the Grim Reaper might take him away at any moment, Ditsapong confesses his love to Jirin, and she admits she loves him too.
Jirin consults La-or on how to bring Ditsapong back to life. La-or finds a method that involves putting the spirit into a body. Jirin and her friends frantically search for Ditsapong’s physical body, only to find it has already been cremated. Jirin then takes Ditsapong’s spirit back to his house. Meanwhile, Danu, greedy for the family fortune, poisons Ditsapat. When Danu realizes Ditsapong’s ghost is still around, he hires a sorcerer to perform a ritual to banish him, but Jirin intervenes just in time to save Ditsapong’s soul.
Jirin and her friends try to find a way to make Ditsapong human again by suggesting he enter Ditsapat’s body, but Ditsapong refuses because he loves his brother too much to take his life. However, they soon discover a celestial error: The Grim Reaper made a mistake. The person who was supposed to die was Ditsapat, not Ditsapong. Jirin immediately sends a petition to the Lord of Death.
Ladda, whom Daenthep hired to spy on Jirin’s house, overhears this and quickly tips off Danu and Daenthep. They hire a sorcerer to capture Ditsapong’s spirit again. Just then, the Lord of Death receives Jirin’s petition and rushes to investigate. He corrects the mistake by placing Ditsapong’s soul into Ditsapat’s body and taking Ditsapat’s soul to the afterlife instead.
In the aftermath, Ditsapong opens "Twilight Tours," a tour company for Jirin and her friends as a thank you. He also sets up a comfortable shrine/office for La-or and Manee. Finally, Ditsapong (in his brother's body) and Jirin date happily ever after.
