Synopsis

The Protagonists: Clashing Healers
  • Mor Rak (Doctor Rak): A young, idealistic doctor who graduated from the USA. Fleeing an arranged marriage set up by her relatives, she escapes to the "Sarika" community to find her father, a herbal medicine doctor who mysteriously disappeared, leaving behind only a book of herbal remedies. As a modern doctor, Rak is initially skeptical of traditional medicine.
  • Mor Pon (Doctor Pon): A "Doctor of Song" (Mor Pleng). He doesn't treat people with medicine but heals their spirits with his beautiful voice and kindness. He is handsome, poor, and a former temple boy.
  • Pan: Pon's sidekick and a "Doctor of Can" (Mor Can - referring to the Isan bamboo mouth organ). He is a mischievous orphan with a talent for playing the Can while dancing. He is also a huge flirt.
The First Encounter: A chaotic birth While Rak is driving to deliver a baby in the community, she gets delayed. Meanwhile, Pon and Pan are hired to perform music at the same house. The pregnant woman goes into labor, and her husband, desperate for a doctor, grabs Pon (misunderstanding "Mor Pleng" for a medical doctor). Pon, confused and terrified, is shoved into the room. Rak arrives just in time to find Pon panicking at the sight of childbirth. She takes over, but the mother struggles to push. Pon uses his singing to help the mother find a rhythm to push, and the baby is born safely. However, Pon faints at the sight of blood. When he wakes up, he and Rak immediately start arguing, blaming each other for the chaos. Pon even composes a song mocking Rak, sparking a rivalry where they fight every time they meet.
The Love Interests and Community Members
  • Pornthep: A kind pharmacist and Rak’s high school friend who has secretly loved her for years. He is thrilled she is in town but hides his feelings, fearing rejection.
  • Hia Leng: The stingy owner of the only cooked-to-order food shop in town.
  • Hong: Hia Leng’s sexy and cunning daughter. She uses her charm to get free things and money from men.
  • Hia Berm: The owner of a van queue who tries to act powerful but isn't feared. He is infatuated with Hong.
  • Boss: Hia Berm's son, a K-Pop fanatic who listens to no one except Doctor Rak.
  • Ngam-pit: A wealthy money lender whose family (The "Bent-Back" family) are rivals with Hia Berm's family. Her children are Ngam-lua (daughter) and Ngam-pao (son).
  • Luang Ta Keng: The temple abbot and herbal expert who raised Pon.
  • Makkathayok Tone: The leader of the folk singing band Pon belongs to.
  • Je Joy: The owner of a salon/coffee shop who has a crush on Tone and wants to join the band despite her terrible singing voice. She is Hia Leng’s ex-girlfriend and enemy.
  • Dab Yim: A righteous police officer who protects the community.
The Romantic Entanglements
  • Rak's Admirers: Pornthep (secretly), Boss, Ngam-pao, and even Pan all vie for Rak's attention.
  • Pon's Admirers: Ngam-lua and Hong constantly fight over the handsome singer, though Pon often deflects them to Pan.
The Core Conflict The sitcom revolves around Rak trying to improve the community's physical health through modern medicine and prevention, while Pon heals their mental health through song. Will the modern doctor and the traditional singer stop fighting and heal their own hearts?
