Synopsis

The Protagonists
  • Palad Ohmchana: A handsome and capable Deputy District Chief (Palad) dedicated to developing the rural sub-district of "Khok E-Lerng." Although from a wealthy family, he was cut off from his inheritance because he refused to manage the family business, choosing public service instead.
  • Pabu: A nurse at the local hospital in Khok E-Lerng and Ohmchana's love interest.
  • Kru Kamolmit: A handsome and intense teacher. His family is land-rich but currently in debt because his mother, Payia, mortgaged their land to help relatives.
  • Kru Pornprai: A teacher at the same school as Kamolmit and Pabu's older sister. She is Kamolmit's love interest.
The Conflict Ohmchana loves Pabu, and Kamolmit loves Pornprai. The couples agree to get married, but they face a major obstacle: Mother Payia (Pabu and Pornprai's mother). Payia is protective and materialistic. She sets a strict condition: the grooms cannot consummate their marriages (enter the bridal chamber) until Kamolmit clears his debt and Ohmchana receives his hundred-million inheritance. Father Tapon, Pabu and Pornprai's father, likes the grooms but is terrified of his wife and dares not disobey her, except when it comes to his love for music and entertainment.

  • Direct Sales Scam: A "healthy supplement" craze hits the village, but Pabu discovers it's just sand. The company flees with everyone's money.
  • Hollywood Dreams: Rumors of a film crew cause villagers to dress up and dream of stardom, only to be disappointed.
  • Bakery Fever: Kru Wan opens a modern bakery, exciting villagers used to traditional Thai desserts.
  • Technology Addiction: The arrival of 3G, tablets, and smartphones causes villagers to stop talking to each other, communicating only through chat apps like Line.
