Synopsis
Sanae Rak Poot Sao (The Ghost Girl's Love Charm):
On the recruitment day for new furniture designers, Arm, the handsome and dashing young owner of the company, bumps into Sai-mai, a soft-spoken, sweet, and naive girl who is absolutely terrified of ghosts. Because he is in a rush, Arm doesn't pay much attention to her, but Sai-mai falls in love with him at first sight.
Arm's furniture company is focused on eco-friendly designs using recycled materials and reducing deforestation to combat global warming. He launches a "Plant Trees for Money" project, encouraging farmers to grow trees to sell to the factory. This displeases Dusit, a close subordinate of Arm's father and the Director of Purchasing. Using his authority within the company, Dusit secretly buys illegal timber for the factory by making shady deals with an illegal logging syndicate.
Meanwhile, Sai-mai's best friend, Maprang, is a tough, unyielding fighter who always uses force to solve problems. She can't stand seeing Sai-mai being taken advantage of and always steps up to protect her. Maprang, who is a police officer, receives orders from Inspector Buntham to raid a pub with Sergeant Rod. She finds illegal drugs on the children of wealthy families, which gets her into trouble. As punishment, she is reassigned to be the assistant of Captain Thaenthai, an unmotivated young cop who only took the job to please his father. Thaenthai just goes through the motions and doesn't care about his duties, which severely contrasts with Maprang's dedication, leading to constant arguments between them.
The duo is assigned to track down the illegal logging syndicate. As they get too close, Dusit and the syndicate boss put a hit on Maprang. Maprang is shot, leaving Thaenthai deeply regretful of his past behavior. However, an unexpected twist occurs: the Grim Reaper accidentally takes the wrong soul. Maprang's spirit survives, but she cannot return to her physical body because it has already been cremated.
Still worried about her father and Sai-mai, Maprang's ghost seeks out Sergeant Rod, a cop obsessed with black magic. He performs a botched ritual that inadvertently allows Maprang's spirit to possess Sai-mai. Maprang uses this to help Sai-mai fight back against Darin, the head of the design department who is obsessed with Arm and constantly oppresses Sai-mai. After being possessed several times, Sai-mai catches on and sets two conditions for her ghost friend: 1) Maprang can only possess her at night, and 2) Once the criminals are caught, Maprang must accept her fate and move on to her next life.
Maprang's ghost (in Sai-mai's body) teams up with Captain Thaenthai to catch her killer. They discover the mastermind is someone within Arm's company. Suspicion initially falls on Arm since illegal wood is found in his factory, leading to his arrest. However, Sai-mai believes in Arm's innocence and uncovers evidence proving that Dusit is the real culprit. She tries to bring the evidence to Captain Thaenthai, but Dusit finds out and hunts Sai-mai down to silence her.
At that critical moment, Maprang's spirit is being chased by the Grim Reaper and cannot come to Sai-mai's rescue. Fortunately, Arm is bailed out and rushes to save Sai-mai just in time. Dusit escapes but is soon haunted and chased by Maprang's ghost. Terrified, he flees deep into the forest, where a dead tree falls and crushes him to death.
Afterward, Sai-mai ordains as a white-robed nun to dedicate merit to Maprang. A year later, Maprang visits Sai-mai in a dream, telling her she has finally been freed and is ready to be reborn. Thaenthai is promoted to Inspector. Arm and Sai-mai get married, and they eventually have a little daughter named Maprang as a beautiful witness to their love.
