Synopsis
Karaked (Suthida Katanon) is in love with Pitsanu (Touch Na Takuatung). However, Karaked's parents later force her to marry a young, wealthy Chinese man, causing the two lovers to separate. Karaked eventually has a daughter named Moodaeng (Ratchawin Wongwiriya). When her husband passes away, Moodaeng follows Karaked to live in Bangkok, leaving her aunt and workers to take care of their provincial farm and factory.
Meanwhile, Pitsanu has married Satee (Panadda Wongphudee), but with the strict condition that he is allowed to take Karaked back as a wife if she ever returns. Pitsanu and Satee have three children together: Pikulkaew (Benjawan Artner), Jaruek (Kan Kanin), and Rojana, also known as Mod (Pimaksiporn Wingomin). When Karaked and Moodaeng move into the Watcharaphan household, Satee is highly displeased but hides her resentment from Pitsanu. Only Pikulkaew is genuinely friendly towards Karaked and Moodaeng.
Pitsanu is heavily in debt to Pakinai (Pete Thongchua), a Major General army doctor. He has even mortgaged the Watcharaphan house to him, completely unaware that in the past, Pakinai's family was deeply betrayed by Pitsanu’s grandparents. Pakinai is actually out for revenge. Satee and her children know nothing of this massive debt; only Karaked knows the truth and desperately tries to find ways to help Pitsanu.
Moodaeng attends the same school as Mod. Satee, holding onto her grudge, constantly finds ways to cause trouble for them. Karaked pities her daughter but urges her to be patient. Moodaeng endures all the mistreatment for the sake of her mother. Pakinai regularly sends his nephew, Yothin (Chokchai Boonworametee)who is friends with Jaruek—to collect the interest at the Watcharaphan house, leading Yothin to grow close to Pikulkaew.
Eventually, Pakinai accelerates the debt collection, placing Pitsanu under such extreme stress that he suddenly dies. Karaked takes on Pitsanu’s heavy burdens and tries to salvage the family's financial standing, honoring Pitsanu's dying wish. After graduating, Moodaeng returns to the farm and discovers that her mother had been secretly selling off the factory and parts of the land to cover the family's expenses. Meanwhile, Satee and her children operate under the false assumption that Karaked hoarded all of Pitsanu’s inheritance for herself.
When Karaked falls seriously ill, Moodaeng travels to visit her. On the train ride to Bangkok, she crosses paths with Pakinai. Upon arriving at the hospital, Moodaeng meets Pong (Piya Trakulrad), the family lawyer, and finally learns that their creditor is demanding full repayment of the debt.
In another subplot, Professor Arnon (Karin Sutayus), who teaches at Pikulkaew’s university, secretly loves Pikulkaew, but she becomes engaged to Yothin. Arnon gets to know Moodaeng and strongly dislikes the condescending way Mod treats her, so he consistently tries to protect Moodaeng. Angry at Arnon's attention toward Moodaeng, Mod conspires with Jaruek to ruin her. In a tragic turn of events, Karaked intervenes to save Moodaeng from their plot but falls down a flight of stairs to her death.
At the funeral, Moodaeng meets Pakinai and realizes that he is her mother’s ruthless creditor. Furious, she declares that she will pay off the debt as quickly as possible by marrying a wealthy man named Sia Methee (Auan Montree). Refusing to let her do this, Pakinai instead hires Moodaeng to work at his home. Her job is to care for Khun Prim (D.Y. Nannaphas Lertnamcherdskul), his young daughter from his late wife. Pakinai promises that if she works for 3 months, he will waive the interest, and if she completes 6 months, he will return the deed to the Watcharaphan house.
Moodaeng accepts the offer. Moving into Pakinai’s house, she is met with hostility from Taewee (Pijittra Siriwetchapan), Pakinai's late wife’s younger sister, and Lamom (Suda Chuenban), a fiercely loyal housekeeper. Fortunately, Saibua (Wimonphan Chaleechanhan), another maid, sympathizes with Moodaeng and often shares stories about Pakinai's household. Initially, Khun Prim dislikes Moodaeng because Taewee manipulates the child into thinking Moodaeng is there to be her wicked stepmother. Over time, however, the little girl grows to genuinely love and trust her.
Taewee continues to plot and severely bullies Moodaeng until she is forced to run away from the house. Pakinai and his daughter immediately set out to find her.
At Yothin and Pikulkaew's wedding, Pakinai publicly reveals the truth to both families: it was Moodaeng's mother, Karaked, who selflessly took the fall and sacrificed everything to pay off the Watcharaphan family's debts.
After running away, Moodaeng gets into an accident and is hospitalized. When Pakinai finds out, he rushes to bring her back and hands over the title deed as promised. Moodaeng, in turn, gives the Watcharaphan house to Pikulkaew as a wedding gift. Finally, Pakinai proposes to Moodaeng, asking her to marry him so she can be Khun Prim's mother forever.
