Synopsis

Sayumphu Thotsapol (Pakorn Chatborirak), a handsome and mysterious young businessman, has just returned to Thailand. Phoemphong (Jaturong Mokjok), his right-hand man, rushes to meet Nitithon (Pisan Akraseranee), the personal lawyer of his recently deceased father, Seeharat Thotsapol, to listen to the reading of the will. The will states that his father gives an old wooden house and a sum of money to Nitithon, while leaving the massive business empire to Sayumphu. It also specifies that if Sayumphu is unable to accept the inheritance, the entire Thotsapol Group will be given to Nitithon and his heirs instead. That night, after dinner, Sayumphu and Phoemphong walk back to their car. Suddenly, the car explodes and burns to the ground. They spot a man in black wearing a helmet, nodding in satisfaction at a job well done before speeding off on a motorcycle.
Waew Mayura (Marie Broenner) is a beautiful and sexy "pretty" (promotional model) who presents cars eloquently. Kamrop (Krerk Chiller), the owner of an imported car company, hires Waew to work for him, hoping she will eventually agree to be his wife. In the backstage dressing room, Kamrop can't restrain himself and sexually harasses Waew. Unable to tolerate it, Waew slaps him in the face and decides to resign. Waew has to bear all her family's expenses, including the medical bills for Mareetee (Nuanprang Trichit), her mother who constantly believes she is sick, and Wannaree (Pachabadee Tanputta), her younger sister who is studying at a university. Highly stressed, Waew consults her two long-time best friends, Chonthicha (Nuchanan Aranyanark) and Roengjai (Hansa Juengwiwattanawong), about finding a new job. Sympathizing with her, the two friends help Waew look for work.
Nitiphum (Anuchit Sapanpong), Nitithon's only son, is deeply resentful that his father devoted all his time to serving Mr. Seeharat. Even when Nitiphum's mother was seriously ill, his father had no time for her until she passed away. Moreover, his father often compares him to Sayumphu. Therefore, Nitiphum hates Sayumphu to the core and hires a hitman named Sakda to eliminate him, knowing that without Sayumphu, all of Thotsapol Group's assets would fall to his father and himself.
Phoemphong explains that Sayumphu is being hunted down. Thus, Phoemphong buys a plant and landscaping shop to use as a safe house, a front, and a working office. He also rents another house nearby for sleeping and hiding in case of an emergency. When they arrive at the housing estate, Phoemphong turns around to find that Sayumphu has already walked into a house. Phoemphong follows him, but it turns out Sayumphu entered the wrong house—it belongs to Waew. Waew has just finished showering and steps out in a towel, encountering Sayumphu. Thinking he is an intruder trying to assault her, Waew throws things at him. Seeing that she won't listen, Sayumphu runs out of the house and bumps into Ekarin (Popetorn Soonthornyanakij), Waew's friend. Hearing Waew scream for help, Ekarin immediately punches Sayumphu in the face. Fortunately, Phoemphong intervenes just in time to clear up the misunderstanding.
When asked for his name, Sayumphu almost blurts out his real identity, but Phoemphong quickly answers for him, saying his name is "Chak Kangwanklai." From then on, Sayumphu has to hide his true identity from everyone using the name Chak. Chak and Waew immediately get off on the wrong foot. Chak complains that Waew didn't even apologize. Uncle Phoem (Phoemphong) is secretly amused seeing the two bicker because he has never seen his boss act like this before; he hopes Sayumphu will keep acting this lively. Uncle Phoem also brings in Jack (Chalermsak Yamkamang), a distant relative, to help at the flower shop and keeps Sayumphu's true identity a secret from him as well.
That night, Chonthicha calls Waew to talk about her unemployment. Waew hides behind the house to talk because she doesn't want her mother and sister to worry. Chonthicha invites Waew to work at her coffee shop, but Waew refuses, wanting to find a corporate job to prove herself. Chak overhears the conversation, sees Waew's tears, and feels pity for her. Ekarin, knowing Waew hasn't found a job, takes her to apply at the same place as Laila (Chotika Wongwilas), Ekarin's younger sister. Unfortunately, Waew has a conflict with Laila right away. Ekarin then drives Waew to Chonthicha's coffee shop. Roengjai openly shows her crush on Ekarin, while Chonthicha secretly admires him without expressing it. The next morning, Kamrop comes to Waew's house and offers to increase her salary, buy her a house, and a car, but Waew refuses, unwilling to sell her dignity. Chak overhears this and becomes even more impressed with Waew.
Chonthicha helps Waew get a gig as a model at a jewelry auction event, which Kamrop also attends. Kamrop tries to bid on the jewelry Waew is presenting for six million baht. Just as the MC is counting down to close the bid, a man bids seven million baht, introducing himself as Wongsakorn, the 3rd secretary of Sayumphu Thotsapol.
Nitiphum sees the news of the jewelry auction and realizes Sayumphu is still alive. He scolds Sakda and orders him to continue hunting Sayumphu down. After the event, Kamrop pesters Waew, repeatedly saying he will take good care of her and her family. He tries to drag Waew into his car, but Chak jumps in to rescue her, trading punches with Kamrop until they both get minor injuries. Chak drives Waew home in his beat-up pickup truck. When they arrive, Waew thanks him by treating his wounds. But when Chak teases her, Waew applies a bit too much force. Chak instinctively grabs her hand to pull it away, and just by holding hands, both feel a slight romantic spark. Uncle Phoem and Jack are now absolutely certain that their boss is falling for the girl next door.
Chak sympathizes with Waew for having to bear all her family's burdens, so he finds a way to help. He sends Nitithon to visit Waew at her house, claiming that Sayumphu saw Waew at the jewelry auction, was highly impressed, and is offering her a job with a staggering salary of 300,000 baht. Waew agrees to take the job because she wants to earn her keep through hard work. Nitithon hands her a laptop, stating that working with Sayumphu requires communicating exclusively via the computer's webcam. When she turns on the camera, Waew only sees a dark silhouette, not Sayumphu's face. However, the tasks Waew is assigned mostly involve ordering food for him, which has nothing to do with corporate work, making Waew highly suspicious about who Sayumphu really is.
What will happen next? Will Waew find out who Sayumphu really is? How will Chak and Waew's romance unfold, and will Nitiphum manage to eliminate Sayumphu? Follow the story in the drama "Waew Mayura", broadcasting every Friday at 8:25 PM and Saturday-Sunday at 8:15 PM on Thai TV Color Channel 3. The first episode premieres on Sunday, April 22, 2012.
