Synopsis
Plengpin (Yardthip Rajpal) is a beautiful and incredibly sassy girl from Ubon Ratchathani. She is the leader of the Isan Arts Club’s Pong Lang band—a fun, spicy, and lively Pong Lang Samcha group! Even though she is a simple country girl, her beauty is on par with Miss Thailand World. She once made a sacred vow to the guardian spirits of Ubon City that if she passed her university entrance exams, she would not have a boyfriend for four full years. This means she absolutely cannot allow herself to fall in love with anyone.
The person who comes closest to making her break her vow is Sart Wannawijak (Ekkaphong Jongkesakorn), a famous, flawless, handsome, and wealthy young high-society man. He is a top executive with incredibly beautiful eyes at Wannawijak Group, a major national import-export company where she is interning before graduation. Sart is the beloved grandson of Sittithep (Supoj Chancharoen), a ghost grandfather who desperately wants Plengpin to become his grandson-in-law.
This dream seems likely to come true... because Plengpin recently makes a major mistake at work, causing the company to lose over a hundred million baht. Sart offers her an ultimatum: pretend to be his girlfriend, or prepare to go to jail. Sart wants Plengpin as his fake girlfriend to use her as a tool to drive away Mukdaras (Supaksorn Chaimongkol), a sexy high-society widow, from his life. Grandpa Sittithep tries to turn their fake relationship into real love, even pushing for marriage. However, little do they know that this is just the beginning of the chaotic events to follow.
Sart constantly brings Plengpin to social events to announce that he is no longer single, making Mukdaras hate Plengpin to the bone. Mukdaras intentionally tries to humiliate Plengpin by exposing her roots, revealing that she is not from a noble background but just a low-status girl from the plateau. However, Plengpin isn't ashamed; instead, she invites her friends from the Isan Arts Club—Panjaree (Wiragarn Seneetantikul), Weerakit (Kritpudis Suriyawong), Apple (Pang Kornbai), Malakor (Thanakorn Sawassakorn), Kluay (Thiparin Yodthanasawas), Som (Usanee Peungpa), and Teacher Chris (Morris K)—to perform right in the middle of the high-society event.
Later, the two continue to clash because Sart frequently crosses the line, pushing Plengpin to the point of almost revealing the truth that they aren't really a couple. Sart shuts her up by kissing her in front of everyone, including Mukdaras. This incident brings Plengpin to tears because the university dismisses her from the Isan Arts Club for inappropriate behavior. She asks to terminate their contract, but Sart refuses because his plan to get rid of Mukdaras is working perfectly.
Meanwhile, Mukdaras plots to eliminate Plengpin using Radit (Apinan Prasertwattanakul), but Grandpa Sittithep and Sart arrive in time to save her. However, their secret is soon discovered by Prach (Chokchai Boonworametee), Sart's younger brother. Prach begins courting Plengpin, which makes Sart want to end the fake arrangement and ask Plengpin to be his real girlfriend. But Mukdaras strikes again by fabricating evidence that Plengpin embezzled company money, tricking Sart into firing her.
Mukdaras becomes desperate for cash after gambling away her money at Sia Prawat’s (Attachai Anantamek) casino. Sart temporarily gets back together with Mukdaras. Plengpin is tricked by Radit, drugged, and nearly assaulted according to Mukdaras's plan, but Sart saves her just in time. Still in love with Sart, Plengpin goes to his house only to witness a heartbreaking scene between him and Mukdaras—and he even announces their engagement.
Sart later intercepts Radit as he is about to flee the country. He forces him to confess, discovering that everything was orchestrated by Mukdaras. Sart immediately cancels the engagement. When the police come to arrest Mukdaras, she manages to escape with Prawat's help. The three villains—Mukdaras, Prawat, and Radit—plot to wipe Plengpin off the face of the earth, knowing she is the person Sart loves the most. Grandpa Sittithep tries to warn Plengpin, but she is captured by Radit. Grandpa Sittithep and Sart arrive to save her in time, and the villains are tricked by the ghost grandfather. However, Mukdaras escapes the police once again and takes Plengpin hostage, demanding a ransom of one hundred million baht from Sart.
What will happen next? Will Plengpin and Sart finally be able to understand each other? Tune in to the drama "Duang Ta Nai Duang Jai" (Eyes in the Heart), broadcasting Monday to Friday at 6:30 PM on Thai TV Color Channel 3.
