Synopsis

Rewadee, or Didi (Sunisa Jett), is a beautiful, high-society young woman who lives a comfortable life on the inheritance left by her wealthy parents. While she is enjoying her life to the fullest after publicly humiliating a fellow socialite friend at a fashion show, she inadvertently witnesses the murder of the secretary of Than Amnat, a notorious and influential figure. Amnat orders Yot (Weerachai Hattakowit), his right-hand hitman, to hunt her down. Fleeing for her life, Rewadee is rescued by Jaran (Nattanan Jantarawiroj), the young police officer assigned to the case. Not long after, Amnat's men spot Rewadee in the media and immediately realize she is the eyewitness to the murder.
Rewadee intends to go to the police station to file a report, but Jaran stops her. He advises her to gather solid evidence first and asks her to go into hiding for her own safety. He sends her to Ban Don village, where his friend Phayap (Witaya Wasukraipaisan) lives. When a high-society girl like Rewadee has to move to the countryside, she imagines a beautiful, idyllic life in a European-style cottage on a lush green hill, so she packs several luxury brand-name bags of clothes.
Upon arrival, Jaran takes Rewadee to Phayap's house, which turns out to be just an ordinary two-story wooden house. There, she meets Phayom (Duangta Tungkamanee), Phayap's mother, and Patcha (Pajittra Porncharoen), Phayap's tomboyish younger sister. From their very first meeting, Phayom and Rewadee clash instantly, prompting Patcha to take Rewadee to a small hut at the edge of the rice fields before things escalate. Living in the field hut is difficult for Rewadee, making it hard for her to sleep. Suddenly, she hears a noise outside. Grabbing a stick, she furiously beats the uninvited guest. Patcha and Jon (Napat Patamasingh Na Ayudhya), Phayap's subordinate, run over to see what's happening, only for Rewadee to realize the man she was beating is Phayap himself. They argue, both claiming to be in the right, and instantly dislike each other from that moment on.
Rewadee, who buys out a huge amount of household goods, becomes the center of attention in the village. This includes Thatchai (Pitisak Yaowananon), the young district chief who falls in love with Rewadee at first sight—and who happens to be the man Patcha has secretly liked for a long time. Later, as her money starts running out, Rewadee tries to sell her brand-name items at dirt-cheap prices, but no one buys them. When Phayap finds out, he gives Patcha money to secretly buy Rewadee's items. This teaches Rewadee the value of money, and she begins to spend her cash as frugally as possible.
One day, Phayap speaks to her in a teasing, provocative manner, making Rewadee angry. She storms across the rice paddy ridge to scold him but slips, falls, and can't get up. Phayap steps in to help her up by holding her hand. Just then, Baibua (Petchlada Tiampetch), the highly sassy daughter of Sia Boonmee (Krerk Chiller)—the village's ruthless merchant—who has had her eye on Phayap for a long time, sees them. Accompanied by Somjeed (Muay Chuanchuen), her trusty sidekick, and Tun (Thanet Phuphanee), Sia's subordinate, Baibua marches over to pick a fight with Rewadee. Not one to back down, Rewadee fights back. When Baibua realizes she can't beat Rewadee, she runs to complain to Phayom, falsely accusing Rewadee of seducing Phayap. Displeased, Phayom summons Phayap, scolds him, and forbids him from ever taking a woman like Rewadee as his wife.
One day, when Rewadee slips and sprains her ankle, Phayap steps in to take care of her, claiming he is only doing it as a favor to Jaran. In reality, he does it because of his own feelings. Jon, knowing his boss's true feelings, tries his best to help but ends up making Rewadee's sprain worse, leaving her unable to go anywhere. To cure her boredom, Phayap invites Rewadee to do various activities together. Their growing closeness brings joy to Phayap, and Rewadee herself begins to fall in love with the place.
While waiting for the rice crop to grow, the villagers prepare to migrate to the city for manual labor, following Sia Boonmee's persuasion. Phayap, who doesn't want the villagers to leave, consults with Thatchai. Rewadee suggests creating supplementary income for the villagers by modifying their existing local products. A foreign friend of Phayap is impressed and places an order to export the goods, bringing great joy to the villagers. Phayom begins to see the goodness and dedication Rewadee has for the village, but out of stubborn pride, she still acts displeased with her. Meanwhile, Patcha accidentally sees Rewadee holding hands with Thatchai, leading her to misunderstand and believe Rewadee has betrayed her.
After that day, Patcha locks herself in her room. Worried, Phayap presses her for the truth. Upon finding out, he goes to confront Rewadee, accusing her of betraying his sister and cheating on Jaran. Rewadee denies it, because the truth is she is secretly in love with Phayap. They have a massive argument, and in a fit of anger, Phayap pulls her in for a kiss. Deeply hurt, Rewadee decides to run away back to Bangkok. Later, Jaran explains to Phayap the real reason Rewadee was hiding in the village. Back at her condo, Rewadee is ambushed by a gunman, but fortunately, Phayap arrives just in time to save her. Understanding the whole situation, Phayap apologizes. They reconcile and return to the village together. That night, still terrified from the assassination attempt, Rewadee asks Phayap to sleep over at her house to keep her company. This sparks village gossip that Phayap and Rewadee have already slept together and become husband and wife. To protect her honor, Phayap announces he will marry Rewadee, even though he hasn't confessed his true feelings to her yet.
One night, a fire breaks out at the village's goods warehouse. Rewadee devises a plan to catch the arsonist, revealing that the whole thing was masterminded by Sia Boonmee and Baibua. Initially, the villagers want the police to arrest the father and daughter, but Rewadee gives them a chance by forcing Sia Boonmee's group to sell all the village's products within a week. While they are out peddling the goods, they run into Amnat's men. This tips Amnat off to Rewadee's location, and he immediately orders his men to kill her.
Will Rewadee survive Amnat's relentless pursuit? And how will her love story with Phayap end? Stay tuned to the drama "Lady Ban Na" (The Country Lady), airing every Monday to Friday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Thai TV Color Channel 3. Premieres Tuesday, May 10th.
