Synopsis

Kritchai is a neat, polished young man who firmly believes in true love. Even though his job at a company that imports foreign cars constantly brings him into contact with many fresh-faced young promotional models (“pretties”), he never wavers. He devotes his whole heart—every chamber, every vein, even his liver, kidneys, and guts—to Arunsee, a stylish and beautiful PR officer who heads the special training department for sales promoters (pretties).
Kritchai fell in love with Arunsee from the very first day she joined the company. For three years he watched her from afar like a red ant hiding in a bunch of mangoes—able only to look, never daring to court her. He believes that true love is worth waiting for, no matter how long it takes.
Because he is naturally shy and has never courted a woman before, Kritchai always feels awkward whenever he is near Arunsee. To hide his nervousness, he pretends to be serious and stern, masking his excitement. Yet he still secretly watches her whenever he gets the chance—and quickly looks away whenever she catches him in the act.
For Arunsee, however, Kritchai’s affectionate glances appear to be suspicious stares. The more serious he acts, the more she feels that he dislikes her. His strict and meticulous personality even makes her suspect that he might not be “manly” and must be hiding something. Some coworkers tease her, saying Kritchai secretly likes her, but Arunsee stubbornly insists that it’s absolutely impossible.
Although she appears confident and carefree on the outside, the truth is the complete opposite. Arunsee is modest and reserved. She cannot imagine that the company’s handsome, stylish boss—whom women of every type in the office admire—would secretly look at her with love. Instead, she believes he watches her because he distrusts and dislikes her, perhaps even wanting to fire her. So she tries to stay as far away from Kritchai as possible.
Besides, she already has a boyfriend named Pran, whom she has dated since university. Pran is smooth-talking, hot-tempered, and manipulative. He often acts pitiful because he knows Arunsee’s compassion is her weakness and keeps her from breaking up with him.
Arunsee’s cold distance makes Kritchai miserable. He becomes convinced she has no feelings for him, and learning that she already has a boyfriend makes him even sadder. He tries to force himself to stop loving her, but once his heart is set, he cannot undo it. He can only hide his love deep inside.
Kritchai’s beautiful but quiet devotion becomes a source of amusement for his best friend Teetouch, a charming playboy who does not believe in love. Teetouch enjoys collecting happiness from the affection of women who fall for him. Handsome and extremely confident in his looks, he understands women almost as well as he understands himself. If he decides to pursue someone, they never escape his charm. Many women come and go in his life constantly.
Yet there is one woman, Kornkanok, with whom he spends more time than anyone else. She is the closest thing he has to a girlfriend—but still not quite one.
Teetouch never thought he would settle down. But his confident heart begins to tremble when he meets Lamphao, Kritchai’s cousin, a veterinarian. Lamphao is unusual—perhaps because she spends so much time with animals. She has strange ideas and has never had a boyfriend nor intended to have one.
Their first meeting is disastrous: Lamphao accidentally hits Teetouch on the head so badly that he needs more than ten stitches. Furious and humiliated, Teetouch declares loudly that Lamphao is the only woman in the world he will never pursue. Even if she were the last woman alive, he says he would rather bite his tongue and die. He also arrogantly predicts that someone like her will never find a boyfriend.
But Lamphao is stubborn and proud. Insulted by his rude words, she angrily announces that she will make Teetouch become her boyfriend—and that he will eventually ask her to marry him.
Teetouch is stunned by her audacity but still confidently believes that no one will ever trap him into marriage.
Meanwhile, their friend Watchara—a bold Thai police officer—is struggling with his upcoming wedding to his longtime girlfriend Netnaphat. Though he does not oppose marriage itself, Netnaphat makes him feel like a prisoner being forced into a jail called marriage. The love he once had for her is slowly crushed by her constant pressure and expectations.
At the same time, Watchara meets Suphannika, a bold and unconventional woman who lives far outside the traditional image of Thai femininity. She is Arunsee’s close friend. Their first meeting turns into a fierce verbal battle after a minor road accident escalates dramatically.
Fate continues to entangle everyone. Kritchai owns a luxurious condo unit where he and his two best friends are about to move in together. Coincidentally, Suphannika lives in the same building. As their lives intertwine, misunderstandings, conflicts, jealousy, romance, and chaotic friendships weave together like a tangled spider web.
From secret crushes and stubborn pride, to broken relationships, unexpected love, and dramatic confrontations—including jealousy, betrayal, violence, and even attempted murder—the characters gradually confront their feelings and grow.
In the end, truth and sincerity prevail. Kritchai finally confesses his love to Arunsee and proposes marriage. Touched by his unwavering devotion, she accepts with tears of joy.
Teetouch also wins Lamphao’s heart and proposes to her, while Watchara ultimately chooses Suphannika and starts a new relationship built on honesty and mutual respect.
After overcoming countless obstacles, the three couples decide to hold a grand triple wedding together—celebrating love, friendship, and the journeys that brought them there.
The story concludes with their long-awaited wedding day, a joyful event filled with love, memories, and laughter.
The drama “Sam Num Nuea Thong” (Three Golden Bachelors) originally aired on Fridays at 8:25 PM and weekends at 8:15 PM on Channel 3, beginning on December 16, 2011.
