Synopsis
It was the largest massacre that had ever occurred in the city of Phu Phrakan when a group of bandits ruthlessly raided, robbed, and killed the workers on the farm. Even Phupha and his beloved wife, Usa, the owners of the farm, lost their lives. Only Tawan, Phupha's son, managed to escape with the help of Saroj, Phupha's close friend and a highly skilled assassin. Saroj believed that the mastermind behind the bandits was Sakda, Phupha's business partner who wanted to take over Fah Rung Farm for himself. Therefore, he took Tawan to flee abroad and raised the young boy into a strong, brave man before sending him back to Fah Rung Farm to investigate the clues behind his family's deaths. He entrusted Ranee, the beautiful owner of Wilai Bar, to act as Tawan's coordinator.
Along the way, Tawan met a new friend, a tough farm boy named Singh. Tawan decided to disguise his own name as "Sua" (Tiger) to make it easier to get a job at Fah Rung Farm. At that time, Sakda had a conflict with Pho Liang Jaran, an influential figure in Phu Phrakan, forcing him to go into hiding in another area and leaving Fah Rung Farm to be managed solely by his two daughters, Phet Rung and Ploy Kwan.
Phet Rung, being brave and intelligent, was respected by the workers, unlike her younger sister Ploy Kwan, who was temperamental and prone to using violence. Both had to face a major crisis when Pho Liang Jaran had his henchmen disguise themselves as bandits to frequently raid Fah Rung Farm in order to pressure Sakda into revealing himself.
The sudden arrival of Singh and Tawan caused everyone on the farm to mistakenly believe they were spies for the bandits. But while the two were being held captive, the real bandits launched another raid, forcing Phet Rung and Ploy Kwan to fiercely lead the workers into battle. Just as they were losing ground, Tawan and Singh stepped in to help the two sisters successfully defeat the bandits. As a result, Phet Rung agreed to hire them as farm guards, which greatly displeased Decha, the head guard. Ploy Kwan admired Tawan and tried to get close to him, which made Phet Rung very dissatisfied, even though deep down she also felt a strong connection to him.
Porn, a farm worker and Tawan's childhood friend, recognized him from his distinctive scar. Porn revealed the truth that Ploy Kwan was actually Tawan's younger sister. While Saroj was helping Tawan escape, Usa had given birth to Ploy Kwan before passing away. Sakda had raised Ploy Kwan without ever telling her the truth about her origins. More importantly, the mystery behind Phupha's death wasn't solely due to a business conflict; there were rumors of a hidden gemstone vein within Fah Rung Farm. This might have been the catalyst that caused Sakda and Phupha to turn on each other, with Pho Liang Jaran being a key variable, as in the past, Sakda had hired him and his men to disguise themselves as bandits to rob the farm.
Tawan decided to stay at Fah Rung Farm until Sakda showed up. Later, the bandits who used to raid the farm kidnapped Ploy Kwan for ransom. Phet Rung decided to lead the workers into the forest to rescue her sister. However, Decha took this opportunity to try and eliminate everyone so he could seize the farm for himself. Decha's selfish actions caused the rescue plan to fail. When Singh and Tawan found out, they joined forces to successfully rescue Phet Rung and Ploy Kwan. Consequently, Decha and his minions were driven out of Fah Rung Farm shortly after.
Tawan was promoted to the new head guard, and the team was further strengthened by Somjai, a former deputy district chief who had resigned from government service. At that time, Pho Liang Jaran's power began to wane when Narong, the new district chief and son of General Ruangrit of the Sema Narong camp, arrived in Phu Phrakan with Ryo, his samurai-descended assistant, to take down Pho Liang Jaran. This was due to an agreement Sakda made with General Ruangrit: he would give Phet Rung and the interests in Fah Rung Farm to Narong if they eliminated Pho Liang Jaran. General Ruangrit had already suspected the existence of the gemstone vein in the farm and planned to seize the treasure, using his son's marriage to pave the way.
Fearing for her father's safety, Phet Rung didn't dare reject Narong. But Ploy Kwan was extremely displeased when she learned that Narong wanted to marry her sister just to take over Fah Rung Farm. Thus, she constantly found ways to prank and antagonize him.
Decha plotted to kill Phet Rung to cancel the wedding between her and Narong. He tricked her by pretending to be captured by Pho Liang Jaran, luring Phet Rung to come pay his ransom. Tawan had a bad premonition that there was a hidden scheme and warned Phet Rung not to go. But because Decha was the adopted son of Yot, Sakda's close confidant, she took the risk to meet Pho Liang Jaran. Tawan's suspicions proved correct when Pho Liang Jaran ordered his men to attack Phet Rung's group. However, Tawan followed and helped her break through the encirclement. The two got lost in the forest and had to spend the night together. In this dire situation, Tawan and Phet Rung finally confessed their true feelings for each other, even though Tawan felt deeply conflicted about falling in love with his enemy's daughter...
