Synopsis
In the year 2453 B.E. (1910), Luang Bowornsongkram (Rawit Terdwong) conspired with foreigners to seize Thai territory. When his treasonous plot was discovered, he fled with his men, kidnapping Mom Chao Mala (Susira Angelina), the royal lady he was preparing to marry. However, Mom Chao Mala had lost all her love for him upon discovering the truth. She killed Luang Bowornsongkram and then took her own life to follow him in death.
Jump to the year 2553 B.E. (2010). At the Jantra Mansion, an abandoned estate in the middle of the mountains that serves as the haunting grounds for the spirit of Luang Bowornsongkram and his two ghostly minions, Krathing (Nithichai Yotamornsunthorn) and Krathong (Sukhonthawa Koetnimit), everything comes to a halt so they can watch a live broadcast of an award ceremony. They cheer just as expected when Rattikarn (Susira Angelina), a beautiful rising actress, steps up to receive the Best Leading Actress of the Year award. Tawanchai (Louis Scott) is the only man who has captured her heart. However, Rattikarn and Tawanchai's romance is heavily opposed by Harnkla (Montri Janeaksorn), Rattikarn's father, and Khun Ying Phattra (Duangta Tungkamanee), Tawanchai's mother.
Rattikarn and Tawanchai receive help from their close friends, Patcha (Chotima Nawakunakorn) and Pitch (Phudit Suriyawong). Krathing and Krathong constantly attempt to harm Rattikarn, but Tawanchai manages to save her every time, causing their love to blossom even more. Khun Ying Phattra orders Tawanchai to marry Pilaiporn, also known as Noodee (Wirakarn Senitantikun). Thus, Tawanchai looks for an opportunity to secretly marry Rattikarn and prepares a bridal house, assigning his cousin Tawanron (Phattaraphon Toun) to keep Noodee distracted. Meanwhile, Luang Bowornsongkram disguises himself as a human to offer Rattikarn the leading role in a movie, hoping to steal her soul, but his plan fails.
On the day Rattikarn is set to marry Tawanchai, Krathong disguises herself as a human, tricks Rattikarn into drinking poison, steals her soul, and hides her physical body at the mansion. Luang Bowornsongkram tries to force Rattikarn to recall her past life. Tawanchai is determined to search for Rattikarn at the mansion, but his mother, Khun Ying Phattra, forbids it and gives him an ultimatum: choose between the supposedly dead woman and the bridal house. Tawanchai chooses the bridal house and halts his search, hoping that one day Rattikarn will return according to the promise she made to him before their wedding.
Rattikarn discovers that Mom Mala's hairpin is the one weapon Luang Bowornsongkram truly fears. She steals it and escapes to the bridal house, trying to make Tawanchai aware of her presence by possessing Patcha to warn him about Luang Bowornsongkram. Pitch suggests using Mom Mala's hairpin to defeat the evil spirit once and for all. Tawanchai then ventures into the Jantra forest to find Rattikarn's physical body. During the search, Tawanchai is nearly killed by Luang Bowornsongkram, prompting Rattikarn's spirit to step in and save him. The effort causes her soul to nearly dissipate, meaning she must quickly find a way back to her physical body.
Will Rattikarn make it back into her body in time? And will she finally get to marry Tawanchai? Find out in the drama "Ruen Ho Ro Hian" (The Haunted Bridal House), airing every Friday at 8:30 PM, and Saturday-Sunday at 8:15 PM on Thai TV Color Channel 3.
