Synopsis
At "Dek Dee" Kindergarten, Teacher Pranee is getting a headache from the daily war between little girl Khai Tun and little boy Khao Tu. The two fight every day, with neither willing to back down. To make matters worse, things escalated today when Khai Tun punched Khao Tu in the mouth, busting his lip. Teacher Pranee is forced to call their parents: Yiwa, Khao Tu’s mother, and Nanon, Khai Tun’s father. What Teacher Pranee doesn’t know is that Yiwa and Nanon are already embroiled in a bitter work-related conflict. Nanon, the owner of "Dee Ded Organizer," is furious with Yiwa, the owner of the "More Than Tree" flower shop. She defied his orders by using traditional Thai orchids to decorate a promotional event for four-region cultural tourism, while Nanon had explicitly instructed her to use large imported orchids to make the event look chic and international. Yiwa argued that since it was a Thai tourism event, the flowers should be Thai. Nanon countered that his goal was to attract foreigners, so a touch of international flair was necessary to keep it from looking outdated or overly forced. The two argued relentlessly, neither willing to compromise.
When Teacher Pranee calls, both Yiwa and Nanon rush to the school, worried about their children. Upon arriving, they are practically floored to discover that their child's rival is the child of their own work enemy. Yiwa starts yelling, accusing Khai Tun (Nanon's daughter) of bullying Khao Tu (Yiwa's son). Nanon defends his daughter, questioning how a little girl could punch a boy. Unable to hold back, Yiwa blurts out, "Why wouldn't she be able to, with how much of a tomboy Khai Tun acts like?" Nanon furiously fires back, "And how are you raising your son, Khao Tu, that he's acting like a sissy, crying his eyes out over a little punch from a girl?" Before Nanon can finish his sentence, Yiwa punches him square in the face, grabs Khao Tu, and drives off, leaving Nanon seething with anger.
When Nanon gets home, he vents about Yiwa to Khun Theng and Sudyod, his younger brother who is a hot TV host and actor. Khun Theng and Sudyod reassure him that he did the right thing, claiming that Yiwa is in the wrong and that women can be unreasonable about everything. Khai Tun quickly chimes in, saying that this is exactly why she doesn't want to be a woman, but rather a man like her grandfather, father, and uncle.
Nanon and Sudyod are actually pleased with this mindset, as both harbor deep-seated negative feelings toward women. Nanon is in the process of divorcing Enita (or Nita), a beautiful model who spends her days doing nothing but pampering herself, dressing up, shopping, acting flashy, and burning through money like water, living a superficial and extravagant lifestyle fueled by Nanon's wealth and successful organizing business. More importantly, Nita is frequently in the news with other men—especially handsome, sexy ones. Whenever Nanon confronts her, she denies everything. Even when scandalous photos leak, she claims it's just "for work." Nanon doesn't believe her, but for his daughter's sake, he tries not to make a big deal out of it. Furthermore, Nita lacks any maternal instinct; she doesn't care about raising Khai Tun at all. As a result, Khai Tun has no bond with her mother and instead mimics the behavior of the men in her life—her father and uncle—whom she views as absolute heroes.
Meanwhile, Sudyod has just broken up with Pearly, a rising starlet who left him for P'Kong, a famous high-society man. Their breakup wasn't ordinary; Pearly's mother, Chamoi, spread various nasty rumors about Sudyod being a bad person, making it impossible for Pearly to tolerate him. Deeply disappointed by this relationship, Sudyod becomes even more cynical about women. Adding to this, their close friends Wan and Nat (a photographer) have also recently been dumped. Combined with Nanon's marital issues, Nanon and Sudyod constantly view women in a negative light. In their eyes, the only truly perfect woman was their late mother, Thiwa. Since her passing, neither has met a woman who could compare.
On the other side, Yiwa vents about Nanon to her mother, Khun Boonlueang, and her only sister, Yayee. They are furious, agreeing that men are creatures who constantly take advantage of women. Khun Boonlueang has her own trauma: her late husband, Khun Prom (Yiwa and Yayee's father), was a terrible man—a drunkard and a gambler who physically abused his wife and children, making their home a miserable place. Fortunately, he passed away several years ago, allowing the family to live in peace.
Khun Boonlueang and Yayee tell Yiwa to fight Nanon to the bitter end. Yiwa refuses, saying she doesn't want to waste her time, as she has already wasted enough of her life on terrible men. Notably, Yiwa has just decided to separate from Wasan, her handsome, high-society, and incredibly flirtatious husband. Wasan constantly charms other women and seems entirely oblivious to how a husband and father should behave. He continues to live a reckless, playboy lifestyle, acting like a mama's boy and burning through Yiwa's money every day without contributing any work. He is enabled by his mother, Madam Wallapa, a superficial rich woman who sees Yiwa as a goldmine. Besides the "More Than Tree" shop, Yiwa's family owns large plots of land in the provinces that could be sold for a fortune. However, Yiwa refuses to sell. Unable to take it anymore, Yiwa finally demands a divorce. Wasan refuses to grant it and constantly pesters her to sell the land to fund his "investments." Wasan's actions cause Yiwa immense distress.
Khun Boonlueang and Yayee are furious at Wasan for hurting Yiwa and Khao Tu and destroying their family's warmth. No matter how hard Yiwa tries to hold the family together, it's useless without Wasan's cooperation. Yiwa has to put on a brave face, hiding her suffering so Khao Tu won't know his parents are having problems.
One day, a TV show requests to film at Yiwa's "More Than Tree" shop. Seeing it as a great promotional opportunity, Yiwa and Yayee agree. However, on the day of filming, Yiwa has to work off-site, so she leaves Yayee in charge of the shop and the interview. Yayee confidently agrees, as she is usually the one who crafts chic, handmade DIY garden accessories—like caterpillar planters, benches, trellises, and artistic dolls—and manages the shop anyway.
However, just as the production crew is about to arrive, Khao Tu runs around and accidentally knocks over all the garden props Yayee had prepared for the show, completely destroying the set. Yayee is furious but can't bring herself to scold her nephew out of pity. With time running out, she frantically tries to fix everything. When the crew arrives, the set still isn't ready. Sudyod, acting as the show's host, complains about Yayee's lack of professionalism, saying that if the owner knew, she would be reprimanded. Yayee is enraged by his insults, and the two get into a heated argument. Ultimately, Sudyod waits until Yayee finishes painting the props, but by then, Yayee is already furious.
Yayee complains about Sudyod to her best friends, Wun and Koi, convinced that he will definitely trash her shop on TV. They tell her she's overthinking it, noting that Sudyod didn't say anything bad during the broadcast. Yayee can hardly believe her ears.
Teacher Pranee calls Nanon and Yiwa again, reporting that Khai Tun has punched Khao Tu once more. This time, a furious Yiwa brings Yayee along, ready for a showdown with Nanon. Nanon happens to be with Sudyod and brings him along as well. When all six of them meet, they are absolutely enraged to discover that their respective enemies are all connected. Nanon vs. Yiwa, Sudyod vs. Yayee, and Khai Tun vs. Khao Tu—the three pairs clash fiercely, nearly setting the school on fire. Returning home, both sides instruct their people never to yield to the enemy.
However, fate seems to have other plans. Even though Nanon tries to avoid using Yiwa's landscaping services, they often end up working for the same clients. Yiwa's "More Than Tree" is highly sought after for its excellent, beautiful, and creative services, driven by a non-profit passion to promote environmental awareness. Meanwhile, Yayee is forced to see Sudyod every day because P'Ying, the TV show owner, gets the bright idea to launch a new show called "DIY by Yayee," featuring Yayee as a co-host alongside Sudyod. The two cannot avoid each other.
As for Khai Tun and Khao Tu, being in the same school means inevitable run-ins, constantly bringing the six adults together. Strange events keep forcing them to interact—such as when an employee at Ying's company tries to commit suicide, and all six help talk him down, making national news. Then, an incident causes the two kids to run away from home, sparking a series of chaotic events. But through all the chaos, the six unknowingly grow closer.
Eventually, Nanon and Yiwa coincidentally book the same resort for a family vacation. For three days and two nights, the two families are forced to endure each other. At the resort, the eight of them—Khun Theng, Nanon, Sudyod, Khai Tun, Khun Boonlueang, Yiwa, Yayee, and Khao Tu—fight over everything: rooms, the pool, the raft, the food, etc. Their stubbornness and refusal to back down keep the tension high. Things get even more chaotic when Wasan, Enita, Chamoi, Pearly, and P'Kong show up. Wasan plans to corner Yiwa to beg for reconciliation, while a jealous Enita teams up with him to get rid of Yiwa.
Meanwhile, P'Kong, who initially dated Pearly, suddenly falls for Yayee and constantly tries to take care of her. This makes Sudyod secretly jealous without realizing it. Pearly, who only cares about money and never really liked P'Kong, tries to use the opportunity to dump him and get back with Sudyod. Her plan fails miserably because Sudyod only has eyes for Yayee, making Pearly increasingly resentful of her.
Through Enita's scheming, Wasan finally gets a chance to corner Yiwa. However, an unexpected twist occurs when Chamoi intervenes. Mistakenly believing Wasan is truly rich, Chamoi tries to set him up with Pearly. In the confusion, Wasan accidentally tries to assault Chamoi instead. Everyone walks in and catches them in the act, ruining the plan. Nanon and Yiwa realize they must stay on guard against Wasan and Enita's schemes.
Back in Bangkok, Enita is blackmailed by an old fling with a secret video clip. Completely broke, she begs Nanon for help. Nanon agrees, on the condition that she acts like a good mother to make Khai Tun happy. However, Enita soon causes a scene at the school's Mother's Day event, making Khai Tun the only child without a mother present. Khai Tun cries inconsolably until Yiwa steps in to act as her mother, bringing her immense joy. Seeing Yiwa's maternal side, Nanon begins to fall for her more and more.
Enita's blackmailer doesn't give up, forcing Nanon to bring in the police to arrest him. Enita behaves for a while but eventually reverts to her old ways. Meanwhile, Sudyod and Yayee begin to develop strange feelings for each other. Their mutual jealousy becomes incredibly obvious whenever Yayee is with P'Kong or Sudyod is with Pearly.
Trouble brews again at school. Khao Tu challenges a boy named Kungfu to a soccer match over the playground, while Khai Tun wants to enter a modeling contest for "Tom Tum" snacks to get her mother's attention. Since neither set of parents can help their own child with these specific goals, they decide to swap. Khao Tu is sent to Nanon and Sudyod to learn soccer, and Nanon quickly becomes his hero. Khai Tun goes to Yiwa and Yayee to learn magic tricks. She starts looking up to Yiwa, wanting to be a cool, capable woman just like her.
On the day of the match, Khao Tu narrowly defeats Kungfu, discovering a love for soccer and adopting a more boyish demeanor. Khai Tun, however, isn't as lucky. Enita, acting as a judge for the contest, takes a bribe from Kungfu's mother and unfairly crowns Kungfu the winner. Devastated, Khai Tun believes her mother doesn't love her at all. Yiwa comforts Khai Tun, greatly improving her mood. Seeing this, Nanon falls even more deeply in love with Yiwa, and the feelings become mutual.
Similarly, when P'Kong confesses his love to Yayee, she rejects him. He immediately realizes who she truly loves. However, both Yayee and Sudyod are too stubborn to admit their feelings. P'Kong sets a trap that angers Sudyod into accidentally confessing his love in front of Yayee. Embarrassed but honest, Sudyod admits his feelings, and Yayee acknowledges her own.
But things don't go smoothly. Wasan and Enita refuse to give up, teaming up to manipulate the children. Khao Tu and Khai Tun start rebelling against Yiwa and Nanon. For the sake of their kids, the couple tearfully breaks up and gives Wasan and Enita another chance. But a leopard can't change its spots; both soon reveal their true colors. Wasan kidnaps Khao Tu, threatening Yiwa to sell her land in exchange for a divorce. Yiwa complies to get her son back and finally secure her freedom.
Having seen the truth, Khao Tu realizes who truly loves him and gives his blessing for Yiwa to welcome Nanon into her life. However, Nanon faces his own crisis when Enita runs away with Khai Tun. Yiwa suggests Nanon hire Phumchai, a highly skilled and famous lawyer. Phumchai secretly loves Yiwa, and upon learning the situation, pretends to help Nanon while secretly conspiring with Enita. Consequently, Nanon loses the custody case and has to give Khai Tun to Enita.
Nanon is driven half-mad with grief but is forced to let Khai Tun go. When she refuses to leave, he has to pretend to chase her away. Heartbroken, Khai Tun finally goes with her mother. Enita tries to propose they get back together as a family, but Nanon knows she only wants his money. When he firmly refuses, Enita's financial problems worsen. Having never raised Khai Tun, she struggles as a mother and frequently takes her frustrations out on the child. One day, Khai Tun faints. Panicked, Enita takes her to the doctor and learns Khai Tun has a brain condition. Enita finally feels remorse but realizes she can't help her daughter, as someone who has been selfish her whole life cannot change overnight.
As for Sudyod and Yayee, their relationship starts off well, but Pearly's constant interference makes Yayee increasingly paranoid. They argue frequently, leaving Sudyod feeling neglected. Eventually, Sudyod makes a massive mistake and sleeps with Pearly, forcing him to marry her. Yayee is utterly devastated and heartbroken, but she chooses to let him marry Pearly, unable to accept a man who won't take responsibility for his actions. On the night before the wedding, a drunk Sudyod shows up at Yayee's house, screaming his love for her. Though in immense pain, Yayee bathes him, dresses him, and personally drops him off at his wedding.
Sudyod tries to make his marriage with Pearly work, but Pearly constantly causes drama, acting paranoid and throwing tantrums. Sudyod eventually reaches his breaking point, and Pearly herself can't handle it anymore, leading to their divorce. However, their divorce isn't enough for Yayee to forgive Sudyod; they remain on parallel paths that refuse to intersect.
Meanwhile, Phumchai uses Nanon's preoccupation with Khai Tun's illness to aggressively pursue Yiwa. When Yiwa offers him only friendship, Phumchai becomes enraged and plots to destroy Nanon. However, Nanon discovers clues about Phumchai's illegal activities first. When Phumchai is arrested, he is convinced Nanon is behind it.
With Khai Tun's health improving and Enita realizing she can't be a good mother and finally backing off, Nanon no longer hesitates to ask Yiwa to marry him. Seeking revenge, Phumchai orders a hitman to cut the brake lines of Nanon's car, intending to kill him at the wedding. However, Yayee accidentally takes the car and gets into a horrific crash, rupturing both her kidneys. Sudyod offers one of his kidneys to save her life. This ultimate sacrifice finally mends their relationship, bringing Yayee and Sudyod back together.
Nanon works with the police to bring Phumchai to justice, ensuring everyone's safety. He and Yiwa start their new family life together, with Khao Tu and Khai Tun perfectly completing their family. A love that began with mutual hatred, healing the past wounds of everyone involved. The small flaws of each person fit perfectly together like puzzle pieces, creating a complete picture, as if carefully designed by destiny... And all of this is "Likhit Sanaeha" (Destined Love).
