Synopsis

"Boonchu" (Arnus Rapanich), the son of Hunter Go, the headman of Tha Phae village, finds himself in the present world as a young archaeologist. He studies, researches, and tracks down national treasures to prevent them from falling into the hands of thieves. Boonchu’s fame in finding invaluable hidden artifacts leads "Alex" (Danai Smuthkochorn) to hire him to locate his grandfather's grave from World War II. Boonchu is hesitant about the journey because it is extremely dangerous, and he is also dealing with his own personal issue: he constantly dreams of "Princess Manfah" (Karnklao Duaysianklao), the princess of Pura Nakhon.
Eventually, Boonchu accepts the job due to a lack of research funding. His team members, "Jib" (Jill Roger), "San" (Atirut Singhaanpol), and "Baitoey" (Thichacha Boonruangkhao), agree to the expedition. Boonchu takes everyone to find his trusted guide, "Hunter Boon" (Komkrit Yuttiyong), only to discover he has passed away. The village headman recommends "Hunter Dan" (Thun Thanakorn) to be their guide instead. Although Hunter Dan seems a bit slippery and unreliable, Boonchu feels a strange connection to him and agrees to hire him. However, none of the local villagers are willing to be porters. Three illegal Karen immigrants—"Mangkabo" (Kom Chuanchuen), "Majoei" (Pongneng Chernyim), and "A-jae" (Kom Superjoke)—volunteer because they know the secret: Alex is actually after hidden treasure, not a grave.
Hunter Dan leads them haphazardly into the deadly forest. The entire group encounters water spirits due to San's reckless mouth, but they manage to escape thanks to the mystical "Treetoot Wind," which blows them across time into the World War II era. There, they meet Japanese soldiers "Tamada" (Ekkapong Pookphan), "Hatori" (Yong Lookyee), and "Tsuba" (Jare Chernyim), and step in to help "Kla" (Proy Superjoke), a Free Thai movement leader who was betrayed by "Nan Kham" (Amata Inthanon). Kla’s younger sister, "Bua Tong" (Tang-o Onwara), feels a bond with Dan and ends up getting swept away with them by the Treetoot Wind, this time back to the Ayutthaya period. In this era, Boonchu meets "Rampoei" (Kulthida Pornpitchayanurak), a Thai female captive. Boonchu and his crew help the villagers escape captivity, which results in the deaths of the "Great Commander" (Thuarae Chernyim) and "Lao-u" (Choosee Chernyim), who become ghosts that constantly haunt Mangkabo, Majoei, and A-jae.
Hunter Dan clumsily tries to lead everyone back to the present world. However, Jib is pulled underwater by the Singkhon Naga. Hunter Dan rushes down to save her with the help of a "Kuman Thong" (Master Gridtsadaphon Choopinit). Boonchu tries to go help Jib but is stopped by "Luang Pho Yan" (Nong Chernyim), a revered monk who sends Boonchu across dimensions to help Princess Manfah build a force to fight off rebels. Before the mission is completed, Hunter Dan pulls Boonchu back to the present world, leaving Boonchu deeply worried about the princess.
Boonchu desperately wants to return to Pura Nakhon to save Princess Manfah. Along the way, the group must survive an encounter with "Jom Mekhin" (Kawee Wongchantra), a vampire. After getting past him, they run into two cannibalistic jungle tribes led by "Madam Ba" (Ang Therdtherng), leader of the Black Crows, and "Lord Vasu" (Yokyek Chernyim), leader of the White Crows. They are rescued by Princess Manfah, who has disguised herself as a village girl. Eventually, everyone gets through the chaos to help Princess Manfah and her older brother, "Chao Phuping" (Gun Rattanaporn), fight against "Ammat Kampan" (Nat Puvanai) and "Kamlue" (Thanayong Wongtrakul), a father-son duo plotting a rebellion. They are assisted by "Sangli" (Dam Daskorn), an immortal sorcerer. Thanks to the grace of Luang Pho Yan, everyone survives, but they are unable to save "Chao Phuluang" (Yodchai Meksuwan), the ruling lord of Pura Nakhon, in time. Although the rebellion is defeated, the loss of her father leaves Princess Manfah heartbroken. Chao Phuping realizes his sister is deeply in love with Boonchu, so he allows her to go on an adventure with him, even if they might never see each other again.
The entire group is then swept back to World War II by the Treetoot Wind. Bua Tong returns to help her brother Kla and exposes Nan Kham, who did everything out of greed for the Japanese treasure. Tamada sacrifices his life to save the group because he has fallen in love with Jib. Boonchu discovers Alex's secret intention to steal the treasure, cancels their entire agreement, and prepares to take everyone home. However, the Treetoot Wind blows them back into the Ayutthaya era once again. They meet "Phana" (Kewalee Nenchiew), a young girl who can talk to animals and the daughter of "Kan" (Chat Mongkolchai), the head of Ban Amphan. The group has to fight a vicious weretiger and deal with "Tongsu" (Thuarae Chernyim) and "Ah-san" (Choosee Chernyim)—the reincarnations of the Great Commander and Lao-u—who relentlessly pursue Mangkabo, Majoei, and A-jae. The three Karen porters constantly cause headaches that Boonchu and Hunter Dan have to fix, leaving everyone battered and bruised by the time they get through it.
Having survived so many terrible events, Jib and Hunter Dan begin to form a deep bond, while Boonchu and Princess Manfah's mutual sympathy blossoms into true love. In the Ayutthaya era, the group meets "Phaen" (Jaran Ngamdee), Thongdee, Thongbai, and Sinual, who are fighting the Burmese army. The group steps in to help. To survive, they must navigate the love and vengeance of "Jorade" (Prab Yuttapichai), a ruthless commander, and "Surane" (Thitiwat Thanawatpatkul), a kind-hearted officer, under the leadership of "Mangkayaw" (Sakol Mongkolket). Meanwhile, "Meyani" (Tarathip Sukdarunpat), the commander's daughter, falls for a Thai captive, and "Soreya" (Rungrawee Barijindakul), a trusted handmaiden, secretly helps them. Princess Manfah misunderstands and thinks Boonchu has feelings for Sinual; feeling hurt, she wanders off and is captured and taken to the Burmese camp. Boonchu sneaks in to rescue her. Jorade orders "Maha-in" (Supakun Surataweekun), a Thai traitor, to find out who is helping the captives. Upon learning it is Boonchu and Hunter Dan's group, Jorade attacks them. The group fights back, with Baitoey using her skills to modify weapons to fight the enemy. They receive reinforcements from "Tuan" (Ittikorn Sathutham), a soldier of King Taksin who arrives to save his sister "Kaen" (Kethathai Ketkosol), who was taken captive. Finally, they overcome all the deadly obstacles and return to the present world.
Hunter Dan finally remembers that he is the reincarnation of Hunter Go and reunites with Boonruean, though they are now vastly different in age. Boonruean tells Hunter Dan to start a new life with Jib, as she is now just a part of his past. Boonchu and Princess Manfah clear up their misunderstandings. Princess Manfah is ready to stay by Boonchu's side to adventure and find national treasures to preserve for the land.
