Synopsis

Sergeant Phong (Thana Sinprasat) and Keson (Rattanawan Rittha-aphinan) have two daughters: a beautiful older daughter named Nakhwan (Thanyakun Thanakittananon) and a mischievous younger daughter named Nakhao (Anyarin Terathananpat). The parents are determined to marry off one of their daughters to Police Lieutenant Junlaphas (Jejintai Antimanoon), the beloved son of the village's wealthy Sia Leng (Sittichok Aksornnan). When Police Corporal Natthawut, or Nat (Tawan Jarujinda), hears this news, his heart sinks because he secretly loves Nakhwan. However, Nat knows it’s a long shot because Nakhao constantly runs interference, and his lowly corporal rank is no match for Junlaphas’s lieutenant rank. Nat is the son of Sergeant Sombat (Chokdee Fakphu), and he is supported by his buddies, Corporal Toi (Rawit Raiwin) and Sergeant Arun (Surabordin Sombatcharoen), who encourage him to woo Nakhwan. This is partly because Sgt. Sombat holds a bitter grudge against Sgt. Phong for successfully stealing Keson from him years ago.
Nakhwan dreams of marrying a perfect man and living a luxurious life on a pile of money. Sgt. Phong and Keson support her ambitions, knowing all too well the hardships of being a low-ranking police officer—low salary, grueling work handling both small and large cases, endless family struggles, and enduring the stigma of being labeled corrupt "extortionists." Even though the bad cops are the minority, "one dead fish ruins the whole basket." Nakhao understands her parents but disagrees with their push for Nakhwan to rely on a rich husband, as Nakhao has always preferred to be independent. While studying, Nakhao earns extra income by baking snacks to sell at the market. Her best friend is Temduang, the daughter of a meatball vendor named Phlapphlung (Naiyana Chanrueng). Both Nakhao and Temduang constantly bicker with Nat’s police squad, though Toi and Arun never actually get angry because they secretly have crushes on the two girls.
Nakhwan falls for Junlaphas, but Junlaphas is secretly dating Salita (Thitinan Suwanthaworn), the daughter of General Thanom (Kraisee Kaewwimol), hoping her connections will advance his career. Meanwhile, General Thanom wants a cut of Sia Leng's immense wealth, as Sia Leng secretly runs an illegal casino and pays the general bribes. It is a relationship of mutual exploitation. Sgt. Phong has no idea about Salita; when Sgt. Sombat tries to tell him, Phong gets angry, assuming Sombat is just jealous. Phong continues trying to hand Nakhwan over to Junlaphas, but Nakhao intervenes. Nat takes this opportunity to constantly flirt with Nakhwan, but she insults him, telling him to come back and talk to her only when he becomes a commissioned officer. This drives Nat to study relentlessly to pass the officer’s exam. He works incredibly hard and is deeply loved by the locals because of his good humor, kindness, and willingness to help with anything. The villagers feel safe with him. Nakhao also recognizes that Nat is a good, kind-hearted man, but his overly playful and slightly flippant demeanor causes them to constantly clash.
Nat discovers that Junlaphas is the one backing the illegal casino, abusing his power for personal gain. Nat tries to stop him but is powerless due to his lower rank. He is even framed as a scapegoat in a drug trafficking case. However, Nat fights the charges, and with the villagers testifying to his innocence, he is cleared. He vows to one day expose Junlaphas and Sia Leng. The supportive villagers rally behind him. Yet, despite winning the hearts of the locals, he cannot win Nakhwan’s heart, as she openly devotes herself to Junlaphas. Nakhwan secretly sleeps with Junlaphas, who promises to ask for her hand in marriage. Thrilled, she goes home and tells her father.
One day, Nakhao and Temduang are selling their goods at a local temple fair when they are harassed by Yai (Atom Samphanthapab), a local thug. Nat’s squad steps in and saves them. From then on, Nakhao and Temduang start viewing the police squad in a better light, realizing that Nat helps from the bottom of his heart without hesitation, no matter how much they usually bicker. Because Nakhao is a top student, she repays Nat by tutoring him in general subjects so he can finally pass his officer exam. Sgt. Phong is relieved, thinking this will keep Cpl. Nat away from Nakhwan. However, things take a drastic turn when Junlaphas suddenly announces his marriage to Salita. Nakhwan is devastated and helplessly ends up as Junlaphas’s mistress. When Salita finds out, she furiously hunts down and verbally attacks Nakhwan, as the two women were already bitter rivals.
Disappointed and embarrassed, Sgt. Phong tries to push Nakhao to get close to Police Captain Kasidit (Sajakak Jitpuengtam), a newly transferred officer. This time, Nakhao cannot refuse because Capt. Kasidit is exceptionally polite, strictly loyal, and loves her baked goods. Kasidit becomes her personal bodyguard, while Nat distances himself from her. Nakhao begins to feel a strange, hollow ache in her heart. When Temduang tells her that Nat is getting close to Wanta (Nattaya Suwannarot), the rebellious teenage daughter of Je Kim (Tasanee Sidasamut), the local gold shop owner, Nakhao feels hurt and angry. The two exchange sarcastic remarks, completely unaware that they are actually jealous of each other. In reality, Nat is simply helping Je Kim guard her shop and steering the troubled teenager away from the wrong path. Meanwhile, unable to endure being Junlaphas’s mistress and enduring Salita’s constant abuse, Nakhwan returns home. She decides to open her heart and give Nat a chance, but Nat gently rejects her, offering only to be a good friend. Nakhwan accepts this, finally realizing who truly holds Nat's heart.
Captain Kasidit assigns his officers to conduct an undercover drug bust, acting on a tip from Daeng, a motorcycle taxi boss, about drugs infiltrating the community. The mission is a success, but Nat barely survives after being critically shot by a criminal. Upon hearing the news, Nakhao rushes to the hospital to donate blood but arrives slower than Nakhwan, Wanta, and Je Kim. Seeing them, Nakhao leaves with a broken heart, mistakenly believing Nat still harbors feelings for Nakhwan. Meanwhile, Kasidit gets promoted to Police Lieutenant Colonel and proposes to Nakhao, but she turns him down, citing her desire to finish her studies first.
Wanta clings to Nat like glue after learning he passed his exam to become a commissioned officer (Sub-Lieutenant). Although Sgt. Phong is secretly impressed, he maintains his pride, simply allowing the newly promoted "Lieutenant Natthawut" to be a regular guest at his house. Lt. Nat teams up with Lt. Col. Kasidit to eradicate local vices and finally raid Sia Leng’s casino. Sia Leng is arrested, and General Thanom is unable to save him, as the general himself is implicated in bribery scandals and forced to resign. Left with no money and no status, Salita is forced to become a common market vendor—the very people she used to look down on. Nakhao asks her father for permission to open a bakery in the provincial town. Sgt. Phong agrees, but on the condition that she must get married. Nakhao accepts, provided that Nakhwan gets married first. Finally, Nakhwan agrees to tie the knot, prompting Sgt. Phong to arrange a spectacular double wedding.
On the day of the wedding, Nakhao tries to brace her heart as she watches the groom processions of Nat and Kasidit approach. As for who will end up marrying whom in this double wedding, viewers will have to tune in to find out! Will Nakhao, Nakhwan, Lt. Nat, and Lt. Col. Kasidit be able to resist the true calling of their hearts? How will this romantic entanglement end?
