Paweena (Preaw) and Onnapa (On) are two young women with completely different personalities. Preaw is feisty and refuses to yield to anyone, while On is polite and modest. However, they are best friends and are always ready to help each other. Their lives are no different from Cinderella's. Preaw graduated with a degree and got a job as a secretary, but at home, she is oppressed and forced to do all the chores by her stepmother, Kusuma, and Kusuma's children: Kampanat, Kanta, and Kantima.
Prasan, Preaw's father, does not love Kusuma. However, a tragic accident caused Kusuma's husband and Prasan's wife to die together. Seeing a comfortable way out, Kusuma made Prasan take responsibility, so he took her and her children into his home. Kusuma seduced him until she became the stepmother, but she never treated Preaw well. She bullied Preaw since childhood behind Prasan's back. Growing up, Preaw wouldn't give in easily and fought back every time. Still, she felt hurt that her father always believed Kusuma. Furthermore, Kampanat, Kusuma's son, constantly sexually harasses her, but Preaw always manages to escape and fights back, leaving him physically hurt.
On graduated as a nursing assistant. Being an orphan, she lives under the care of her grandmother, Anong, along with her aunt Preeyanuch and uncle-in-law Somsak. On's duty is to take care of her sick grandmother, who is bound to a wheelchair. Additionally, she has to do all the housework for her stingy aunt. On shares a similar fate with Preaw, as Somsak tries to assault her, but luckily, On manages to escape every time.
On secretly loves Pongsatorn, who is Kantima's boyfriend. Pongsatorn is the heir to a jewelry factory in Chanthaburi and owns a jewelry store in a department store. Kantima is jealous and spoiled. She cannot control her temper and gets into a fight with Rose, a model trying to catch Pongsatorn. Rose is smarter and uses Kantima's weakness to gain sympathy points for herself. When Kantima throws tantrums, Pongsatorn reprimands her. As this happens frequently, he starts to become unable to tolerate her behavior.
After finishing his master's degree abroad, Garin—the only son of Kriangsak and Nalinee (real estate business people) and Kanta's boyfriend—returns to Thailand, intending to surprise Kanta at her house. That same morning, Preaw and On go to the market together and split up to buy groceries. On meets Pongsatorn and his 5-year-old niece, Kanomping, and misunderstands that he already has a wife and child. In reality, Kanomping is the daughter of Pongsatorn's older brother who died in an accident. Meanwhile, Preaw, waiting for On at the bus stop, helps an old woman cross the street and almost gets hit by Garin's car. Luckily, he brakes in time. Preaw is furious and harshly scolds him. Garin provokes her before driving away, making Preaw even more furious and wanting to chase after him, but On stops her.
Returning from the market, Preaw is bullied by Kusuma and Kanta into doing the laundry. Furthermore, while washing, the two keep picking fights with her. Angry, Preaw throws the soapy water toward the front of the house, which directly hits Garin, who just showed up for his surprise visit. At first, she feels guilty, but upon realizing who it is, she feels satisfied. From that day on, every time they meet, they end up arguing. However, Kusuma becomes anxious, fearing that Garin might become interested in Preaw instead of her daughter.
Garin brings Kanta to introduce to his parents, but Nalinee dislikes Kanta immediately, seeing her as too "modern." Garin tries to persuade his mother to open her mind to Kanta, but it doesn't work. Kanta invites Garin to Pattaya since he has a vacation house there. Kantima invites Pongsatorn, but he asks to bring Kanomping along. Kantima is annoyed but relents, knowing how much he loves his niece. Kanta wants to mess with Preaw, so she asks to bring Preaw along to use her as a servant. Kusuma pretends to tell Prasan that she wants Preaw to get some rest. Preaw knows what the mother and daughter are up to but agrees to go on the condition that On comes along too. This is because she wants her friend to have a chance to be close to Pongsatorn. Kampanat follows along as well, planning to force Preaw to become his wife.
On is glad to learn that Kanomping is not Pongsatorn's daughter, and she gets along very well with the little girl. However, the downside is that Kantima throws tantrums at her for getting close to her boyfriend. Pongsatorn tries to protect On. As for Garin and Preaw, they are the same—bickering every time they meet without yielding to each other. Even so, Kanta is dissatisfied, thinking that Preaw is trying to seduce her boyfriend.
That night, Pongsatorn gets a chance to apologize to On for Kantima constantly picking fights with her. They talk happily. On gets shy and trips on the sand, but Pongsatorn catches her just in time, sparking good feelings in both of their hearts. Preaw, unable to find On, goes looking for her and is ambushed by Kampanat, who tries to assault her. Preaw fights back and beats him up badly. Garin sees this and misunderstands, thinking Preaw is seducing Kampanat. Preaw is furious at being insulted and scolds him sharply. Garin gets angry and pulls her in for a kiss, but Kanta intervenes just in time. She tries to slap Preaw, but Preaw dodges, causing Kanta to fall embarrassingly on her bottom.
The next morning, Pongsatorn helps On in the kitchen, but Kantima interrupts and throws a tantrum as usual. Meanwhile, Kanta hopes to secure her relationship with Garin, so she rents a boat for the two of them. She tells the boat owner to drain the fuel so it's low, hoping it will give her a chance to get close to him. She then orders Preaw to make sandwiches and mocks her, saying Preaw is jealous she gets to be close to Garin. Preaw snaps back that she hates Garin to the bone. Overhearing this, Garin gets angry and decides to get back at her. When Preaw brings the stuff onto the boat, he takes the opportunity to speed off into the sea immediately. Kanta is furious at Preaw. On tries to defend her friend, which leads Kantima to attack her, making Pongsatorn sympathize with On even more.
On the boat, Garin reveals he did this because he heard Preaw insult him and wants her to apologize. Preaw refuses, and they argue. Preaw threatens to jump into the sea and swim to shore. Garin doesn't think she'll do it and dares her, so Preaw actually jumps in and is swept away by the waves. Panicking, Garin dives in to save her. She loses consciousness, so he has to give her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Preaw wakes up embarrassed. After Garin teases her satisfyingly, he tries to drive the boat back, but they run out of gas, forcing them to spend the night on the boat. Preaw gets her revenge by eating the sandwiches deliciously without sharing with Garin, even though his stomach is growling. Garin is too proud to ask, so he starves.
Late at night, Preaw shivers from a fever due to being wet and cold. Garin decides to hug her to keep her warm. It works, and her shivering stops, while he feels an inexplicable happiness. They sleep hugging each other until morning. Kanta, who hired a boat to search for them, finds them hugging and throws a fit. She slaps Preaw, but Preaw doesn't back down and slaps her back. Garin and Pongsatorn have to break up the fight. Kanta demands to know why Garin drove off with Preaw, but he refuses to answer, gets angry, and chooses to return to Bangkok immediately.
Back home, everyone tells Kusuma the trip wasn't fun. Kanta tells her about Garin hugging Preaw, Kantima mentions Pongsatorn showing interest in On, and Kampanat complains to his mother that Preaw beat him up. Kusuma uses this to attack Preaw and issues an ultimatum for her to stay away from Garin. Preaw jokingly says she will steal Garin for herself. Kusuma tells Prasan, causing a father-daughter argument. Preaw feels hurt that her father actually believes she would steal someone's boyfriend.
Garin feels disgusted by Kanta's behavior, which pleases Nalinee, who is glad her son is tired of the woman she dislikes. Moreover, Garin realizes he has feelings for Preaw after getting close to her. Preaw feels the same about him, just like Pongsatorn and On. The next day, Pongsatorn waits for On at the market. Their relationship progresses every day. As he sees more of Kantima's bad side, the distance between them grows.
Garin acts responsibly by taking a job at his parents' company, where he discovers Preaw is Nalinee's secretary and is forced to be his secretary too. Garin moves Preaw's desk into his office, claiming he's afraid she'll slack off, but in reality, he wants to be near her. Kanta, who is sulking because Garin hasn't visited, finds out he's at the company and barges in. She is shocked to see Preaw as his secretary. Kanta causes a huge scene, prompting Garin to suggest they take a step back from their relationship. Kanta blames Preaw for changing Garin's feelings.
Encouraged by On to thank Garin for saving her on the boat, Preaw makes him sandwiches, feeling guilty she didn't let him eat that day. Their friendship blossoms. Kanta cannot accept this. She hires someone to throw acid at Preaw to disfigure her, but Garin sees it and shields her, taking the acid himself. Fortunately, it only grazes his arm. Kanta is furious Preaw is unharmed. Kusuma tells Kanta to turn the crisis into an opportunity by visiting him to show concern and reconcile.
Preaw worries about Garin and is touched that he protected her. Both suspect Kanta but don't want to accuse her without proof. Nalinee visits her son, and Garin tries to protect Preaw so his mother won't blame her, leading Nalinee to wonder if her son has feelings for Preaw. Kanta visits and blames Preaw for Garin's injury to cover her tracks, but Nalinee catches her in a lie by asking how she knew about the acid attack. Kanta claims a friend told her, but Garin doesn't believe it. He tells her to stop her evil deeds and ends their relationship completely. Kanta's hatred for Preaw intensifies. Returning home, she lies that Garin only helped Preaw to look like a gentleman. Preaw misunderstands and acts cold toward Garin. Noticing the change, Garin presses her for the truth and explains that he genuinely wanted to protect her from his heart.
Somsak takes Preeyanuch upcountry. On feels relieved not having to guard herself against her uncle. Remembering Pongsatorn's compliment on her cooking, she calls to say she will bring food to his condo. After hanging up, Kusuma calls Pongsatorn, begging him to visit Kantima, who is supposedly heartbroken and threatening suicide. Pongsatorn doesn't want to go but figures he can pick On up afterward, unknowingly walking into Kantima's trap to force him to sleep with her. On overhears this plan while taking out the trash.
When Pongsatorn arrives, he finds Kantima naked in bed, trying to force herself on him. Before things escalate, On interrupts. Pongsatorn shakes Kantima off and follows On, leaving Kantima frustrated and furious. Kusuma and Kanta return to find Kantima enraged that her plan failed, blaming On. When Somsak and Preeyanuch return, Kusuma lies that On stole her daughter's boyfriend. On is heavily scolded, and Somsak realizes he needs to force himself on On quickly. Pongsatorn learns how Kantima and her mother treated On, and combined with recent events, he definitively breaks up with Kantima.
Seeing an opportunity when Preeyanuch goes to work, Somsak tricks On into a room and tries to assault her. Luckily, Preeyanuch returns because she forgot something. Somsak saves himself by claiming On seduced him. Preeyanuch believes her husband and kicks On out. Kantima is thrilled, but her joy is short-lived when Pongsatorn takes On in as his niece's nanny. Kanomping is delighted, but Kantima is enraged. Preaw is relieved her friend is safe and under Pongsatorn's protection.
Garin and Preaw's love faces a test when Chatchai, Preaw's friend, comes to her with relationship problems. Preaw comforts him with a hug. Garin sees this, misunderstands, and refuses to listen to her explanation, scolding her harshly. Out of spite, Preaw acts overly close to Chatchai.
Kantima spots Pongsatorn and On at a restaurant. Seeing an opportunity, she takes photos and sends them to Pongsatorn's parents, claiming he is dating a servant. Displeased, his parents rush to Bangkok. Kantima takes them to his condo. Pongsatorn is shocked but decides to stop hiding, telling his parents that On is a good person and he loves her. Kanomping also praises On to her grandparents. Their attitude softens, and though they don't fully accept On yet, they agree to let time prove her worth. The couple is happy that his parents aren't stopping them, but Kantima is furious her plan backfired.
The situation between Garin and Preaw worsens. Even though Garin apologizes, Preaw ignores him. Angry, Garin retaliates by flirting with Kanta, though behind Preaw's back, he doesn't care for Kanta at all. Stressed over Garin, Preaw invites Chatchai to a club. Garin secretly follows. Kampanat spots them and calls Kanta. Preaw sees Garin pestering her and provokes him by asking Chatchai to dance. When Garin tries to intervene, she walks away. Out of jealousy, Garin grabs and kisses her. Upset, Preaw grabs Chatchai and leaves the club. Depressed, Garin drinks heavily, giving Kanta the chance to take him to a hotel to force a compromise. She stages photos to make it look like they slept together, but when she tries to assault him, he wakes up, fights her off, and escapes. Though disappointed, Kanta uses the photos to blackmail Garin and mocks Preaw at the office, worsening Preaw's misunderstanding. Kanta demands Garin take responsibility or she will leak the photos, but Garin refuses, knowing she'd ruin her own reputation more. Nalinee kicks Kanta out. Garin explains things to Preaw, but she refuses to listen, ends their relationship, and claims she will marry Chatchai.
Aside from her love life, Preaw faces a family crisis when a loan shark's men invade her house, revealing Kusuma mortgaged the house for gambling debts. The house will be seized unless 10 million baht is paid within a month. Prasan finally sees Kusuma's true colors. Confronted, Kusuma admits she never loved him and only used him for comfort. Prasan kicks her and her children out. Unfazed since the house is being seized anyway, Kusuma moves her children to a slum rental, which they despise but have no choice. With Kusuma gone, Prasan and Preaw reconcile. Prasan apologizes, and Preaw is happy to have her father back. On supports Preaw through the crisis. Pongsatorn wants to help save the house, but Preaw insists on fighting it herself first. When Pongsatorn finds Garin drinking his sorrows away, he tells him about Preaw's house, hoping he can help. But out of pride, Preaw rejects Garin's help, claiming Chatchai will help her, making Garin even sadder.
Pongsatorn and On want to help the stubborn couple reconcile, so they invite both, along with Chatchai, to Kanomping's birthday party. The truth is revealed: Chatchai is gay. Garin successfully makes amends, and the two reconcile. Preaw introduces Garin to her father, and Garin introduces Preaw to his parents. Nalinee accepts Preaw, seeing she is a good person despite their status difference, and promises to redeem the house to serve as their marital home. While they are happy, Kusuma and her children suffer. Kusuma loses all the money Kampanat swindled from an older woman at the casino, while Kampanat is beaten severely by the woman's general husband. Kanta is stressed hearing about Garin and Preaw's upcoming wedding, and Kantima is furious that Pongsatorn and On's love is blooming. Under pressure, the mother and children plan a wicked scheme. Kampanat kidnaps Preaw and On to Kusuma's old house in Saraburi. As Kampanat tries to assault Preaw, she fights back fiercely. Before he succeeds, Garin, Pongsatorn, Prasan, and the police arrive. Kampanat takes Preaw hostage with a gun to her stomach. Kanta urges her brother to shoot Preaw for revenge. As Kampanat prepares to pull the trigger, Garin takes a risk, grabs a police officer's gun, and shoots Kampanat's hand, disarming him. Kusuma and her children are arrested and sent to jail. Preaw and On narrowly escape unharmed.
After the ordeal, only good things follow. Garin and Preaw, along with Pongsatorn and On, decide to get married. On earns the acceptance of Pongsatorn's parents by studying nursing in her free time and officially becoming a nurse. The two couples hold a joint wedding ceremony in a relaxing, happy beach atmosphere, making everyone who sees them envious.
