Synopsis

After Tong (Kett Thantup), a creative at a music label, and Namkhing (Punyaporn Poonpipat), a PR girl, decide to get married, they make an appointment to try on wedding dresses at the bridal shop of Phongphan (Maneenuch Smerasut). Phongphan is a widowed vocal coach and a good neighbor to both Tong and Namkhing. However, Tong is late because he gets caught up in work and loses track of time. His smart dog, Somwang, tries to warn him, but Tong ignores him. Realizing how late it is, Tong speeds in his car and ends up grazing Rungkaew (Thidarat Jaksingto), a female DJ, right in front of the shop. Startled, Tong rushes to support Rungkaew and takes her to the hospital—just as Namkhing walks out of the shop. At the same time, Jack (Monthon Pariwat) drives by, and Namkhing asks him to follow Tong's car to the hospital.
At the hospital, Bualoi (Arun Pawilai) and Kaiwan (Smith Sukpaiboon), henchmen of Sia Jua (Suthep Prayoonpitak)—who is Jack's father—disguise themselves as doctors. They tell Tong to sign a consent form taking responsibility in case anything happens to Rungkaew and her "unborn child." Tong signs it out of guilt, completely unaware that this entire situation is a setup orchestrated by Jack. Jack has secretly loved Namkhing for a long time, even though he already has Rungkaew as his secret mistress. The plan works perfectly because Namkhing arrives at the hospital just in time to see Tong holding Rungkaew as they walk out.
Rungkaew demands that Jack take responsibility for the baby she is carrying, but Jack asks her to help him take revenge on Tong's family first. In the past, Tong’s father, To (Kamin Chernyim), stole the lover of Jack's father. Jack promises that if the revenge is successful, he will gladly take responsibility for her and the baby. Rungkaew believes him because she loves him deeply. Furthermore, her gambling-addicted mother, Jaemsai (Ratree Wittawat), who is heavily in debt to Sia Jua, forces Rungkaew to help Jack, threatening that they will end up homeless otherwise. Reluctantly, Rungkaew goes along with everything Jack and Sia Jua dictate.
Namkhing is heartbroken and furious, deciding to call off the wedding. She confides in her best friend, Dr. Fern (Chompunuch Piyathamchai), a veterinarian. Meanwhile, Tong asks Ter (Vichaya Jarujinda), his best friend, the owner of the record label, and Fern’s boyfriend, to help explain to Namkhing that there is nothing going on between him and Rungkaew. However, Namkhing refuses to listen to anyone.
Seeing his owner so stressed, Somwang (Tong's dog) feels uneasy and goes to consult Khaoniao (Namkhing's dog). They call an urgent meeting with the neighborhood dogs to figure out a way to reunite Tong and Namkhing. The dog gang includes Khaosuai (Phongphan's dog), Tomyum (belonging to Prat, played by Ekaphan Bunluerit, the village police detective), and Jiggo (belonging to Pruang, played by Pairoj Sangwaribut, a widower). Prat and Pruang are constantly competing for Phongphan's affections. The four-legged gang plots to fake an illness by refusing to eat. Dr. Fern diagnoses them with depression and suggests taking them on a vacation for mental therapy. Everyone agrees to take the dogs on a trip, accompanied by Fern and Ter.
The dogs plan to make Tong and Namkhing reconcile by running away into the forest so the couple has to search for them together. However, things take an unexpected turn when Nong Tone (Pruang's son) and Nong Phrimprao (Phongphan's daughter) get lost in the woods. They were tricked by Jack, who came looking for Namkhing and used the kids to find her, only to abandon them when things got dangerous. Phrimprao steps on an old wooden bridge, falls in, and is swept away by the strong river currents. Tone screams for help, and Somwang and Khaoniao manage to rescue Phrimprao. Meanwhile, as Tong and Namkhing are searching for their dogs, Namkhing trips and injures her ankle. Tong takes close care of her, giving them a chance to finally clear the air regarding Rungkaew.
Sia Jua and Jack are furious when they find out Tong and Namkhing are back together and the wedding is back on. They devise another evil plot using Rungkaew and Jaemsai as tools, baiting Jaemsai with money. On the day of the traditional engagement procession, Jaemsai brings Rungkaew to crash the event, screaming that Tong got her daughter pregnant and is refusing to take responsibility so he can marry another woman. Hearing the commotion, Namkhing comes out. Rungkaew runs to hug her, crying hysterically, and begs for Tong back, claiming he is the father of her child. Namkhing recognizes Rungkaew as an old college friend and the same woman Tong took to the hospital.
Jaemsai fakes a crying fit, demanding justice from the wedding guests and berating Namkhing until she feels utterly humiliated and furious at Tong. Sia Jua and Jack join in to badmouth Tong. Rungkaew insists she had a relationship with Tong and even lived at his house. To prove his innocence, Tong takes everyone to his house to uncover the truth, only to be shocked to find Rungkaew's belongings in his bedroom. Dong (Pairoj Jaising), Namkhing's father, is so angry he punches Tong, calling him unmanly, and abruptly cancels the wedding.
Jack continuously pursues Namkhing while badmouthing Tong. Meanwhile, Rungkaew and Jaemsai move into Tong's house; Tong is unable to refuse because his father allows it out of pity for the unborn child. Fern and Ter can't stand seeing their two best friends suffer, so they trick them into working together on a project. Namkhing reluctantly agrees. However, seeing Tong forced to constantly please Rungkaew makes Namkhing cry every day. Unable to take it anymore, she runs away to her father's resort in Pattaya. Tong visits Namkhing's house for work but is told by Phongphit (Karuna Morris), Phongphan's sister, that Namkhing went to Pattaya. Tong immediately follows her. Jack also goes to Pattaya and arrives before Tong. He invites Namkhing to make merit at a temple to paint himself as a good guy. As they leave the temple, they run into Tong, but both give him the cold shoulder.
Tong's father, To, visits Dong to ask for Namkhing's help with PR for his Pattaya Floating Market, as tourist numbers have dropped. Dong agrees to help for the sake of their long friendship. Jack and Sia Jua overhear this and plan to sabotage the market using Rungkaew and Jaemsai as their tools. Numerous crimes like thefts and snatch-and-grabs occur at the market, making it unsafe and hurting To's business, exactly as the villains planned. However, Tong and Namkhing step in to organize PR campaigns and activities, which receive great feedback, further enraging Jack and Sia Jua. Despite working well together, Namkhing refuses to get back together with Tong romantically. Tong begs her in every way because he loves her deeply. Namkhing eventually offers an ultimatum: they can only be friends. Tong reluctantly accepts because he doesn't want to lose her, even though both are still deeply in love.
Dr. Fern's father secures a pet food sponsorship for an animal hospital event. Ter is hired to shoot the commercial but with the condition that Somwang and Khaoniao must be the presenters. However, disaster strikes when the dogs go missing—another plot by Jack and Sia Jua. Ter is unable to shoot the ad on time and faces millions in fines for breaching the contract. Sia Jua opportunistically offers to pay the fine in exchange for becoming the majority shareholder in Ter's record label. With no other way out, Ter agrees, despite Tong's strong objections.
Sia Jua crosses paths with Boonkla (Tewan Chaisomboon), a young country boy, and takes a strange liking to him. His henchmen, Bualoi and Kaiwan, eagerly set things up for him, suspecting Sia Jua might be interested in men since he hasn't looked at a woman since his wife died. Even Sia Jua starts questioning his own sexuality. Meanwhile, Tong tries to kick Rungkaew and Jaemsai out of his house to prevent Namkhing from misunderstanding, but eventually yields to their manipulative tactics directed by Sia Jua and Jack. Rungkaew tells Jaemsai to stop gambling because she no longer wants to be Sia Jua's pawn. Jaemsai argues they need money to survive. Rungkaew declares she will become a singer at Sia Jua's label and reveals she is not actually pregnant; she plans to fake a miscarriage to fool Jack.
Using his power as the major shareholder, Sia Jua forces Tong and Ter to manage Boonkla and turn him into a famous singer, and also forces them to take on Rungkaew at Jack's request. Somwang (the dog) ends up helping Boonkla gain the confidence to sing better. Meanwhile, Jack secretly begins an illegal drug business without his father's knowledge, forcing Rungkaew to sell drugs to people in the entertainment industry. As drugs spread through the village, Prat and Pruang suspect Bualoi and Kaiwan, so they go undercover to find the kingpin. The authorities send Nina (Kanchanat Phattanasirikulchai) to help Prat and Pruang with the case.
Tong and Ter are arrested for drug possession, framed by Jack to get revenge on them both. Namkhing, Dr. Fern, and everyone else—including the dog gang—band together to find evidence to fight the case, firmly believing Tong and Ter are innocent. Somwang, Khaoniao, and their furry friends successfully gather the evidence, leading to the arrest of Bualoi, Kaiwan, and the major drug dealers. Fleeing from the police, Jack takes Namkhing hostage. Tong and the gang try to rescue her. Somwang plays a crucial role in saving Namkhing but gets severely shot by Jack. Losing a lot of blood, Somwang desperately needs a blood transfusion from a dog with the same blood type. Tong, Namkhing, and Ter frantically search for a donor but fail. At the last second, Khaoniao provides the matching blood and saves Somwang's life.
The romance between the dogs Somwang and Khaoniao has a very happy ending. But... how will the love story of their owners, Tong and Namkhing, conclude? Will it end as beautifully as their dogs'? Find out in the heartwarming and fun story between humans and clever dogs in the drama "Somwang Su Su" (Somwang Fights On), airing every Monday-Sunday at 6:45 PM on Channel 7, starting Thursday, March 24th!
