Synopsis

“Doctor Nguan… A Star of Faith” is a drama inspired by the real life of Dr. Songkhuan Nityarumpong, the man who helped drive the creation of Thailand’s universal health coverage policy. He did so out of the belief that there were still many poor and sick people whom the state had a duty to care for. His experience working as a doctor at Rasi Salai Hospital made him clearly see the inequality between the poor and the rich in access to medical services.
Award: Winner of the Outstanding Socially Creative Drama Award at the 25th Television Gold Awards.
