Synopsis

Salad Sot Company is not about Cupid, not about some mustached uncle, and not about the neighborhood matchmaking auntie — it is about “Salad Sot Company,” a modern matchmaking company built on one simple idea: if you are single and looking for love, they will find the right match for you — no matter how handsome, beautiful, perfect, or bizarre your dream partner may be.
The world may say that everyone is destined to have a soulmate, but in an age where people are consumed by work and building their futures, many neglect romance until they suddenly realize that all their friends are already married and they alone are still single. For people like that, Salad Sot Company offers a new style of matchmaking service, selecting and arranging partners according to each client’s wishes.
At the heart of the company is Puen (Phattharaphol Silpajarn), a handsome, smooth-talking bachelor who came up with the idea and serves as the company’s lead promoter — the one responsible for guiding clients and matching them up. His close older friend Somchai (Khom Chuanchuen), who trusts Puen’s talents, becomes his business partner. Although many people see the business as strange or eccentric, Puen believes in what he is doing and works hard, learning through trial and error until the company grows into a successful enterprise with its own identity.
Then comes the newest client, Pai (Assadaporn Siriwattanakul, also known as Green AF5). Pai is introduced as a Hmong woman looking for a husband so she can give her father a grandchild. But instead of seeking a match through the company, she unexpectedly takes an interest in Puen himself and causes chaos by pursuing him all around the office. Eventually, the truth is revealed: Pai is actually a beautiful, foreign-educated young woman — Somchai’s real younger sister — who has come undercover to learn how the company operates.
Because Somchai is too busy with his many joint ventures to oversee the company himself, he sends his beloved sister, whose real name is Minatra, fresh from earning a master’s degree in psychology abroad, to work as a spy inside Salad Sot Company in the role of promoter. However, Pai wants to first study the company and observe Puen’s methods, so Somchai arranges for her to disguise herself as a troublesome new client.
From the very beginning, this makes Puen see Pai as his rival. In addition to Puen, the head of the company, Pai has to get to know the colorful staff: Secretary Meow (May Fueng-arom), incredibly sexy; Laila (Morris K), a masculine-looking stylist with a feminine heart; Jod (Jack Chuanyim) and Yak (Ae Chuanyim), two wildly eccentric creatives who create endless comic chaos; and Ta Wan (Salinee Dokkradon), the troublesome housekeeper. Every one of them is full of personality.
Next door to the company is Pat Café, the regular hangout and refuge for the staff. Its owner is Pat (Natdanai Chanitwat, also known as Palm from Star Search), a gentle and warm young man who has been Puen’s close friend since school. Pat feels an immediate connection with Pai from the first moment they meet. Also working at the café are Tang (Ball Chuanyim), a loud and complaining waiter, and Foong (Jiranan Preedakul), a young waitress who dreams of becoming a Korean idol singer.
As Pai begins her work as a promoter at Salad Sot Company, she encounters all kinds of male and female clients of every age, each with very different desires for love. Some stories are hilarious, some exciting, some thrilling, and some deeply tragic, reflecting the many realities of love and loneliness in modern society.
On top of her workload, Pai must deal with her eccentric coworkers who constantly create problems — and Puen, who goes out of his way to annoy her. To everyone else, Puen is the perfect gentleman, but around Pai he becomes restless and competitive, always trying to provoke or outdo her. As the company senior, he often teases her just for fun. But although Pai is younger and less experienced, she is every bit as sharp and spirited as he is, and she always gives as good as she gets.
This stands in contrast to Pat, who becomes more and more drawn to Pai over time, and Pai also feels comfortable with him. But she never realizes that Pat’s feelings go beyond friendship. Pat loves her in silence, hiding it from everyone.
Puen, however, knows.
As Puen and Pai continue working together — and clashing with each other as rivals — they inevitably come to understand each other more deeply. While Pai shows no clear sign of romance, Puen, despite his pride and stubbornness, gradually realizes that the reason he treats Pai differently from other women is because she is special to him. In the end, he can no longer deny it: he has fallen in love with her.
And when he discovers that his best friend Pat is secretly in love with Pai too, a love triangle immediately forms.
But even three is not enough — to make things even more complicated, the company’s youngest employee, Jibjib (Sarocha Tanjararak), has long been secretly in love with Pat. She has hidden her feelings by behaving like a sweet younger sister, never letting anyone know that what she feels for him goes far beyond sibling affection.
Thus begins a colorful and chaotic four-way romance among two young men and two young women, each loving in a different way:
  • Puen loves Pai by pretending to compete with and tease her.
  • Pat loves Pai by being her warm and dependable friend.
  • Jibjib loves Pat by quietly staying close as a caring younger sister.
  • And as for Pai — whether she will choose someone, or choose no one at all — only she knows.
That is the heart of “Salad Sot Company”: a lively story about a group of colorful working adults and the many different forms of love woven together into something warm, funny, touching, chaotic, and endlessly entertaining.
