Dueanpen (Nat Myria Benedetti) is strong-willed and tough.
Kaewta (Sophitnapa Chumpanee) is gentle, soft-hearted, and sweet.
Kham-uay (Panward Hemmanee) is cheerful, bright, and always optimistic.
When Dueanpen falls in love with Pornchai (Penpetch Penkul), a rough and dangerous thug, she decides to run away from the orphanage to live with him immediately. She asks Kaewta and Kham-uay to come with her. But her life with Pornchai turns out nothing like she imagined. He beats her regularly to extort the money she earns, then wastes it on gambling and alcohol. Eventually, Dueanpen decides to escape from him and start over somewhere else. When Kham-uay learns of this, she asks to go with her.
Then, during Songkran Festival, Anon (Saksit Tangthong), a young engineer from Bangkok, brings his wife and newborn son to visit his mother-in-law in Chiang Mai. At the same time, Kham-uay and Dueanpen plan to go say goodbye to Kaewta at the gold shop where she works, only to find Kaewta being sexually assaulted by the wealthy shop owner. The two rush in to help, and in the struggle they accidentally knock the shop owner unconscious.
Just as the three young women are about to flee, they run into Pornchai, who has come intending to drag Dueanpen back home. But instead, he decides to rob the gold shop. The three women object because they know Pornchai will frame them, but he pulls a gun on them. Dueanpen and Kham-uay struggle to wrestle the gun away, and it accidentally fires, hitting Pornchai. The three women are horrified, believing they have killed him, and immediately steal a parked car to escape from the police.
But inside the car are Kanda and her baby son.
During the escape, several more shots are fired by accident by Dueanpen and Kaewta. Then they are struck by an even greater horror: Kanda has been killed by a stray bullet from Dueanpen’s gun. The three women decide to board a cargo boat to flee to Bangkok, taking Kanda’s little boy with them.
Once in Bangkok, they forge new identities:
Nineteen years later, the three women are still living together in a row house left to them by a Chinese woman. All of them are waiting for the day when the statute of limitations on their case will finally expire, so they can at last be free.
But fate plays a cruel joke on all three when Anon meets Songkran, never realizing that they are in fact father and son, separated for nineteen years. On top of that, Anon falls in love with Kaewta, whom he believes to be Songkran’s real mother.
So what will happen if Anon discovers the truth — that the woman he has finally opened his heart to love again is the very person he believes killed his wife, and that Songkran is actually his son?
