Synopsis

Major Prajak Mahasak (Jesdaporn Pholdee) is invited by a royal prince to participate in a polo match, where high-ranking aristocrats compete and showcase their skills. Prajak's prowess in polo is widely renowned, as he is the commander of the Royal Horse Guard. Pisamai (Rinlanee Sripen), Prajak's fiancée and a lady-in-waiting at the palace, is immensely proud of him and constantly boasts that they will be married very soon.
Meanwhile, not far away, Wanida Wongwiboon (Taksaorn Paksukcharern) is learning to drive for the first time. She invites her best friends, Sumalee (Sirian Siripaisanaek) and Kanlaya (Thaneeya Kitithammanuparb), to ride along. The two girls are absolutely terrified, screaming the entire way, which startles Wanida and nearly causes several accidents. Suddenly, a car approaches from the opposite direction. Wanida doesn't see it in time and crashes straight into it. The owner of the car is none other than Prajak Mahasak.
Wanida is embarrassed but refuses to admit fault, which displeases Prajak. He instantly dislikes her, assuming she is the type of woman who uses money to solve all her problems. Wanida hopes never to see him again, but to her surprise, they cross paths at the equestrian club. Wanida is gracefully jumping her horse over obstacles. Montree (Pisanu Nimsakul), Prajak’s best friend, is utterly captivated and impressed by her, but Prajak only finds her bravery and boldness irritating.
Wanida is a beautiful young woman who recently graduated from university. She is highly sought after by men of all ages, but none have managed to win her heart—or the approval of her father, Mr. Dao Wongwiboon (Montri Janeaksorn). Dao believes all these suitors are after Wanida's money, not her love, so he blocks them at every turn, terrified his daughter will choose the wrong man. Consequently, Dao decides to find a husband for her himself. While reviewing his long list of debtors, one name catches his eye: Prachuab Mahasak (Sorawit Suboon), Prajak’s younger brother.
Dao Wongwiboon summons Prachuab to his house and offers to wipe out his entire debt if Prachuab agrees to marry Wanida. Dao wants his daughter to marry into a prestigious, aristocratic family like the Mahasaks. Prachuab refuses. Dao threatens that if Prachuab doesn't marry his daughter, he will sue him and completely ruin the Mahasak family's reputation. When Madam Nom Mahasak (Duangta Tungkamanee) hears of this, she nearly faints, as she absolutely despises the Wongwiboon family.
The feud dates back to the time of Montha (Duentem Salitul), Wanida’s grandmother and the beloved wife of Phraya Mahasakthamrong (Suchao Pongwilai). Montha was a perfect Thai lady, adored by her husband and everyone else. Consumed by jealousy, Madam Nom fabricated a lie that Montha was having an affair. Enraged, Phraya Mahasakthamrong banished Montha from the Mahasak household and cut all ties with her. Montha was forced to live with her younger brother, Dao.
Madam Nom vehemently refuses to associate with the Wongwiboon family and begs Prajak to help. However, Prachuab’s debts are so massive that Prajak cannot bail him out. Prachuab refuses the marriage because he already has a lover, Pranee (Pimaksiporn Winkomin). He decides to resign from his government job and flees to the South to earn money to repay the debt. But Dao won't let it go. Since the younger brother has disappeared, he demands that the older brother, Prajak, marry Wanida instead. Prajak firmly refuses. However, Madam Nom, terrified of ruining the family's reputation, persuades her son to agree to the marriage temporarily while they wait for Prachuab to earn the money. Prajak sacrifices himself to protect his family's honor by agreeing to marry Wanida.
On Wanida's side, she is furious when she hears the news from her father. Dao tries to persuade her, lying that Prajak is deeply in love with her and sent elders to ask for her hand. Dao praises Prajak endlessly, eventually convincing Wanida to agree to the marriage. Prajak informs his fiancée, Pisamai, of the arrangement. She is furious, throwing a massive tantrum, feeling deeply humiliated since everyone knows she is supposed to be Prajak's future wife. Prajak tries to console her, promising that he will divorce Wanida the moment Prachuab repays the debt.
Prajak meets with Dao to finalize the terms before the wedding. Dao’s demands are: (1) Prajak must allow Wanida to use the Mahasak surname. (2) If a divorce occurs before Prachuab fully repays the debt, Dao has the right to sue immediately.
Prajak agrees, but counters with his own demands: (1) Once Prachuab fully repays the debt, he will immediately divorce Wanida. (2) He will not touch Wanida; they will sleep in separate bedrooms. (3) There will be no grand wedding or public announcement; only a private family dinner. Dao agrees, and they sign a contract.
Finally, the wedding day arrives. The ceremony is simple. Wanida walks down dressed in a traditional Thai outfit. When the bride and groom see each other, they are both shocked, recognizing each other from their previous encounters. Wanida immediately throws a fit at her father and demands to cancel the wedding. Dao begs Prajak to clear the air and apologize for the past incident. Prajak initially refuses, but Dao threatens him with the contract. Prajak reluctantly apologizes, and Wanida agrees to proceed with the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Prajak brings Wanida back to the Mahasak house. He then immediately avoids her and leaves for work, which infuriates Wanida because she still doesn't know the real reason behind this marriage. From that day on, Wanida and Prajak constantly bicker, neither willing to back down. Madam Nom and Pisamai constantly find ways to bully Wanida, but she fights back fiercely. Stuck in the middle, Prajak has to constantly break up their fights. Ultimately, he decides to move out of the main house and into the military housing with Wanida.
Wanida doesn't feel lonely; she enjoys decorating the house, gardening, and planting vegetables and fruits. Prajak begins to see many of Wanida's good qualities. Wanida also befriends two siblings living in an orchard behind the Mahasak estate, Amphan (Sira Paetrat) and Ampai (Primrata Dejudom). Their mother was once a servant of Montha, making it easy for the siblings to get along with Wanida.
Amphan and Ampai know the history of the Mahasak family well, including the false accusation of Montha's affair. Wanida asks Ampai to tell her the stories of her grandmother's time there. While Prajak is at work, Wanida often spends time with Amphan and Ampai at the orchard. Seeing this, Madam Nom tries to stir up trouble, lying to Prajak that Wanida is having an affair and is inappropriately close to Amphan. Prajak doesn't believe her, but he still feels jealous seeing Wanida close to another man.
Prajak becomes more possessive of Wanida and starts inviting her out to eat, watch movies, and listen to music, acting like a real husband. This surprises Wanida, but Aunt Thong, Juang, and Pailai (the servants) are delighted, hoping the two will truly fall in love.
Amphan has to attend a seminar in Cha-am and invites Ampai and Wanida to tag along. Wanida wants to go, so she goes to tell Prajak, only to find him seemingly acting sweet with Pisamai. Upset, she writes a note, slips it under his door, and leaves with Ampai early the next morning. Madam Nom finds the note and secretly steals it, causing Prajak to misunderstand Wanida's disappearance. He rushes to Cha-am to find her, ignoring Madam Nom and Pisamai's protests.
When Prajak arrives in Cha-am, he tries to drag Wanida home, but she refuses. Prajak decides to stay the night, but there is only one room available, forcing them to share it in extreme awkwardness. Wanida sneaks out to ride a horse alone. Prajak follows her. Speeding up to escape him, Wanida falls off her horse, which runs away, leaving her lost and unable to find her way back. Deeply worried, Prajak ignores a heavy incoming storm and rides out to find her. A tree falls on him, and he falls severely ill with a fever. Wanida eventually finds him and nurses him back to health. Prajak is touched by her care and finally realizes his true feelings. Meanwhile, Pisamai's constant bullying and framing of Wanida begin to reveal her true, nasty colors to Prajak.
Wanida and Prajak start opening their hearts to each other. Unable to stand this, Madam Nom plots to force her son to sleep with Pisamai during her upcoming 60th birthday party. She knows Prajak's character well—if something inappropriate happens, he will definitely take responsibility.
