Synopsis
Pawee is a flirtatious, high-society playboy. Every word out of his mouth is carefully chosen with the intent of claiming women. Pawee has constantly been in the news, entangled with one famous celebrity after another. Most recently, he has been dating Mesa, a beautiful and sexy model who is the only daughter of Sia Preecha, an influential new-generation tycoon. Mesa has an eldest brother named Tul, a man with a polite and good-looking exterior but a wicked mind.
Pawee's playboy behavior causes a lot of distress for his mother, Professor Pojanee. She has to maintain her strict public image because she is a former university chancellor. Sometimes, his father, Colonel Payut, also takes the blame for being a playboy himself, essentially passing the trait down to his son. However, Pawee finally meets his match in Airada, a famous fortune teller. Like many other young women, Airada secretly admires this handsome, high-society man—especially his wealth. She hatches a plan to catch him. It begins with her reading the fortune of Prof. Pojanee, who is absolutely obsessed with horoscopes. Airada warns her that the fate of Prof. Pojanee and her family is falling under a deadly astrological phase. The only way to fix this is to arrange a wedding for her son this year; otherwise, the entire family could face a fatal destiny.
Prof. Pojanee hosts a birthday party where the guests are mostly conservative elders. Airada comes to read the fortunes of the older, high-society aunties, giving her the chance to get close to Pawee. When Pawee tries to flirt with her, Airada playfully challenges him. The more she challenges him, the more he likes it. Little does he know, when he takes Airada back to his bedroom, she secretly drugs him with sleeping pills. She then strips him of his clothes and uses his phone to call Prof. Pojanee, making it look like an accidental pocket-dial while faking the sounds of being sexually assaulted by him.
Prof. Pojanee's friends hear everything over the phone. Unable to let such a disgraceful scandal ruin her reputation, Prof. Pojanee rushes to the room. The sight she finds is Pawee positioned to embrace Airada while completely naked, covered only by a blanket. Nuan-tong, Airada's mother who runs a shop in Pattaya, also rushes over in a panic after being called by Airada. When Nuan-tong sees Colonel Payut, she is shocked because he used to flirt with her before marrying Prof. Pojanee. Nuan-tong makes a huge scene about Pawee assaulting her daughter. Consequently, the elders from both families agree that the two must be married as quickly as possible to save face.
The wedding takes place. Airada squeezes out fake tears, pretending to be afraid that Pawee will dump her and seek a divorce once they are married. She demands a written prenuptial agreement stating that if the groom asks for a divorce, he must pay her a settlement of 40 million baht. However, Pawee adds his own counter-condition: if the bride is the one who asks for the divorce, he won't have to pay a single cent. Airada accepts. The two begin their married life with the exact same mindset: each tries to act as terribly as possible to force the other into giving up and initiating the divorce first.
When Mesa hears the news of Pawee's lightning-fast wedding, she is furious, as are her brother Tul and Sia Preecha. Being a straightforward and aggressive person, Mesa ends up in several physical catfights with Airada. But Airada holds her own with the help of her tomboy best friend, Pookie. Meanwhile, when Tul meets Airada, he instantly falls for her. He decides to separate Airada and Pawee—both to help his sister and to win Airada for himself.
Pawee doesn't care about either Mesa or Airada because he is busy hitting on a new girl, Mattika, a yoga instructor. This is especially true after he finds out that Mattika knows Tharadon, his highly religious best friend. Pawee discovers that not only is Mattika beautiful and fit, but she also has a good heart, which greatly pleases Prof. Pojanee. Pawee is completely smitten and openly courts her, but Mattika maintains her boundaries. Airada herself encourages Pawee to divorce her so she can cash out the 40 million baht. Seeing Airada's stance, Mesa changes her original plan (which was to have her father send her brother to hurt Airada) and instead pretends to befriend and please Airada, shifting her attacks toward destroying Mattika.
Tul courts Airada and treats her well, but Airada keeps her heart closed because she is entirely focused on the 40 million baht. Pawee tries everything to make Airada demand a divorce—bringing other women into the house, acting awful, and being extremely annoying. But Airada endures it all for the money. In return, Airada employs hundreds of tricks of her own to make living with her unbearable for Pawee.
Sometimes, Airada even pulls Tul in to help put Pawee in his place. When Pawee realizes that Airada has no intention of giving up and divorcing him, he comes up with a new plan by consulting Tharadon. Together, they arrange for Airada to meet Ruj, the owner and editor of Love & Wedding magazine. Ruj acts as a guru for post-marital life. As a result, Pawee grows closer to Mattika, while Airada starts to become close to Ruj. Both new couples begin to cultivate their own romances.
