Synopsis
“Mongkut Saengchan (The Moonlight Crown)” is a sweeping tale of love, power, and betrayal set in the peaceful mountain kingdom of Pancharat.
Pancharat is a small, serene land ruled with virtue by its king and queen. Their daughter, Princess Sisira, is like a drop of pure dew—gentle and radiant. Her life changes when she meets Teekayu, a carefree and mischievous young musician. What begins as disdain धीरे turns into love, as the commoner repeatedly risks his life to protect the noble princess from hidden dangers.
Tragedy strikes when the kingdom falls into chaos. The king and queen are assassinated by rebellious ministers led by the power-hungry Konyanat, who seeks to overthrow the royal bloodline. Sisira must confront tyranny, supported by her loyal royal guard Manasing, who secretly loves and devotes himself to her.
Meanwhile, Kanyapak, Konyanat’s ambitious daughter, schemes to seize both the title of princess and Teekayu’s heart—who is revealed to be her half-brother. She uses Mayadin to carry out her sinister plots against Sisira.
With no allies left and her younger brother’s life threatened, Sisira is forced into a political marriage with the rebel’s nephew—separating her from her true love. But fate twists cruelly: Teekayu, the man she loves, is revealed to be that very nephew—the blood relative of her enemy.
Heartbroken, Sisira must live as Teekayu’s wife, torn between love and hatred. Teekayu, in turn, is branded a traitor—accused of using her love to strengthen his uncle’s power.
As the kingdom burns and conflict tears the land apart, their love can no longer remain pure. In the midst of chaos, the truth slowly emerges: the man she thought was her enemy may actually be the one making the greatest sacrifice.
