Prieoprai is a university student studying Business Administration. She is a bold, determined young woman who dreams of being a taxi driver. On weekends, she drives a taxi to earn extra income to support her mother, Lamyai, who runs a small grocery shop and barely makes ends meet. Their home is also a gathering spot for local gossips, including Jae Samorn, who runs an illegal lottery operation and delivers betting slips to a powerful financier named Apidej.
Prieoprai often clashes with Police Lance Corporal Thanong, a traffic officer who is also studying law and preparing to become a commissioned police officer. Thanong has his own rival, Cherngchai, a crime reporter who secretly has feelings for Prieoprai. Thanong’s parents, Sae and Mool, are burdened with heavy debts, pushing him to work hard and advance his career. He eventually earns a promotion to Police Sub-Lieutenant and joins a secret government operation, partnered with Sergeant Somsri. Meanwhile, his younger sister, Tharinee, lives recklessly and shows no interest in her studies.
One day, while driving her taxi, Prieoprai picks up Apidej and takes him to a hotel. He pays her 2,000 baht, which she initially thinks is too much—until she later discovers the money is counterfeit. Apidej, the heir to the Golden Mine gold shop inherited from his father, Tai Soon, is involved in illegal activities, including running an underground lottery and printing fake money. His mother, Kimlai, disapproves and tries to reform him by arranging a marriage with Savika, a high-society politician’s daughter. However, Apidej continues his relationships with multiple women, including Oranong, a former waitress turned dancer whom he keeps as a mistress, and Tharinee—Thanong’s own sister. Despite all this, the woman he truly desires is Prieoprai.
When Oranong learns of this, she sends thugs to assault Prieoprai, but Thanong repeatedly rescues her. During this time, Thanong begins to fall in love with Prieoprai. To test her—and to conceal his undercover mission to capture Apidej—he lies that he has quit the police force and become a drug dealer. Furious, Prieoprai starts investigating him, unsure whether to believe his claim.
Meanwhile, Thanong gathers information about Apidej through Prieoprai. Sensing danger, Apidej plots against him by having Oranong seduce and drug Thanong, then falsely accuse him of rape. Thanong is suspended from duty, but knowing he is innocent, he defies orders and continues investigating. Eventually, Prieoprai realizes he is not a criminal and decides to help him.
Together, they gather intelligence from Bak Ken and Nang Won, two siblings who sell grilled chicken and sticky rice and serve as key informants. Their efforts lead to the successful raid of a counterfeit money operation. However, Thanong is forced to arrest his own sister Tharinee, who is found at the scene.
While in custody, Tharinee is repeatedly threatened by Apidej’s men. Unable to endure it any longer, she confesses that Apidej is the mastermind behind everything. Armed with this information, Thanong and Prieoprai track Apidej as he attempts to flee the country.
A violent confrontation ensues. Apidej is shot dead, while Thanong is critically injured and falls into a coma. Prieoprai does everything she can to save him, but in the end, all that remains is hope—that a miracle will allow their love to finally be fulfilled.
