Iyawadee (Amelia Jacobs) is captured and prepared as a sacrificial offering. She is dressed in an elaborate costume blending Khmer and Lanna styles, her long hair left loose as she is bound to a wooden altar with flames burning beneath it. Adorned in full regalia of red ruby jewelry, she is surrounded by many beautifully dressed women. Two monkeys attempt to approach the altar but are restrained.
Iyawadee declares to everyone present that she will guard the treasure of the Gemstone Tomb, vowing to protect it and reclaim the jewels from all intruders across every lifetime—until those invaders grow weary and no longer have the strength to plunder the sacred site again.
As soon as she finishes speaking, a vision unfolds: Samamae (Chumphon Thepphitak), Saenthai (Nattawat Plengsiriwat), the ruler of Rommayanakorn, and invading soldiers are seen looting gemstones and attacking the women. A troop of monkeys fights back. Suddenly, everything is engulfed in flames, erupting into chaos and destruction. The invaders scream in agony as they perish, while Iyawadee’s face appears smiling with satisfaction amid the blazing inferno.
In the end, all the invaders die.
This is, in fact, Iyawadee’s dream.
