Synopsis

Dr. Wikanda Phanphakorn married Dr. Anirut Salwit, and everyone admired them as a perfect match—both attractive, wealthy, and highly educated. During their honeymoon in Penang, Anirut constantly reassured Wikanda of his love and devotion.
Wikanda has two close friends, Anongnart and Chaweepen. All three are married but face different problems. Anongnart’s husband, Phonwet, is obsessed with reading, which makes her feel bored. Chaweepen has it worse—her husband, Seenat, is addicted to gambling. Despite her hardships and poverty, she remains strong and cheerful in front of her friends.
In the early days of marriage, Wikanda and Anirut shared one car—he would drop her off at the Ministry of Education before going to work at the university. Later, as Wikanda had to work outside the ministry more often, they began using separate cars, which gradually created distance between them. After three years of marriage, they had two children: their son Nong and daughter Noon.
One day, Chaweepen saw Anirut with another woman at a restaurant and told Wikanda. Anirut lied at first, saying he was dining with a colleague, but later admitted the truth. The woman was a waitress named Nongkarn. Wikanda was deeply hurt, but Anirut insisted she should understand men—that other women meant nothing and that he loved only her. Despite becoming more cautious, Wikanda could never keep up with Anirut’s constant excuses for coming home late.
Eventually, Nongkarn showed up at Wikanda’s house, claiming she was pregnant with Anirut’s child. Wikanda said she would talk to her husband first. Anirut denied responsibility, insisting the child was not his. He was confident Wikanda would never divorce him. In the end, he paid Nongkarn to disappear, marking the first of many affairs Wikanda would eventually grow numb to.
Later, a new nanny named Nuan came to replace their former helper. Anirut quickly showed interest in her. Though Wikanda warned him, she knew it was hard to stop his behavior and chose to ignore it. Anirut began coming home earlier, spending more time around the children—largely because of Nuan. Their affair became evident, but Wikanda endured it silently.
As time passed, Anirut’s pattern of infidelity continued, with various women coming and going. Wikanda tolerated it, partly because he never seemed serious about any of them and continued to provide her with expensive gifts.
Things escalated when Orn-in, the younger sister of Anirut’s friend Thaworn, returned from studying abroad. Recently divorced, she quickly became close to Anirut, and he showed special interest in her. Unlike his previous flings, Orn-in posed a real threat. Wikanda grew increasingly suspicious and uneasy.
Orn-in frequently visited their home, openly showing affection toward Anirut. Their relationship deepened, causing tension and emotional pain for Wikanda. Eventually, conflicts between Wikanda and Anirut intensified, leading to constant arguments.
During a trip to Japan, where Wikanda traveled with a noblewoman she worked for, Anirut followed her there, trying to win her back. However, Orn-in also pursued him relentlessly, creating even more emotional strain. Wikanda remained cold and distant, despite Anirut’s efforts.
Upon returning to Thailand, Wikanda decided she could no longer endure the relationship and chose to divorce Anirut. Though many advised her to stay, she remained firm in her decision.
After the divorce, Wikanda focused on her work and children, gradually rebuilding her life. Meanwhile, Anirut continued his reckless behavior, eventually realizing the consequences of his actions. A tragic event involving Nudi, a young woman who admired him and later took her own life, deeply affected him and filled him with guilt.
Over time, Anirut sincerely tried to change. He returned to Wikanda, asking for another chance and promising to abandon his old ways. Though Wikanda was unsure and still hurt, she allowed him back into the house for the sake of their children.
In the end, while Wikanda had not fully forgiven him, Anirut remained determined to prove himself. Their story closes with uncertainty—but also the possibility of reconciliation, as they begin living under the same roof once again.
