Thong Nuer Thae

An accident forces an innocent young girl to face a profound lesson: “If a person clings to goodness, even when life is coated in mud, one day the purity within will inevitably shine through.”
Thong and her mother are struck by a car. Her mother dies shortly after, leaving Thong an orphan. Fortunately, two kind-hearted friends, Ura and Sribangorn, take pity on her. Sribangorn adopts Thong as her daughter and gives her a new name: Nualthong.
Nualthong grows up in a warm, loving household and maintains close contact with Ura, who becomes a guiding figure in her life. It is at Ura’s home that Nualthong meets Nopnathai, a young man who becomes her emotional support, friend, and brother figure—and seems to be the only man in her life.
Within the caring adoptive family, represented by Pojana, Nualthong experiences love and protection, but she also suffers repeatedly at the hands of Pojana’s sister, a greedy woman. Pojana’s family has a daughter named Nongnu, while Pojana’s sister’s household is unstable—her husband, Prawit, is addicted to gambling, with a daughter named Pornsawan and a son, Panya, who behaves mischievously without restraint.
